You’ll see even some have average and median prices more or less than $300,000. But, those neighborhoods consist of hundreds, if not thousands, of homes and have sections of homes that are closer to $300,000.

Addison

If you didn’t know you were near Brodie and Slaughter only 11 miles south of Downtown, you wouldn’t know it if you were standing in the middle of the neighborhood. Because it is surrounded by greenbelt and rolling hills, Bauerle Ranch has much more of a Texas Hill Country feel. Homes are fairly new, built after 2000, so they have open floor plans, master bathroom suites, walk in closets and spacious bedrooms. And, with a community park and pool, you’ll always have a place to take the kids.

Easton Park is one of Southeast Austin’s newest, and in our opinion, best neighborhoods. Though it is in the beginning stages of development, there are some pretty cool features planned. At build out, there will be around 5,000 homes, 13.1 miles of trails, on-site schools, outdoor amphitheater, community pool, amenity center, 10,000 new trees and more than 300 acres of parks. The developers are also trying to keep the neighborhood very bike friendly, making it ideal for someone who doesn’t want to depend on their cars. Easton Park is the ideal choice for you if you’re looking for a new neighborhood that looks unique, not cookie cutter.

Milwood is one of the more established, and largest, neighborhoods in Northwest Austin. Spanning several miles, Milwood is located on the Southwest side of Parmer Lane between Amherst Dr and Anderson Mill Rd, making it an ideal choice for someone who works in that area. Milwood also has a voluntary HOA, so yearly dues are very low. But, unlike most voluntary HOA’s, Milwood’s does provide amenities for its residents. However, as the years have gone on, we’re seeing many of them updated with hardwood floors, Quartz counters and stainless steel appliances. If you’re looking for a Southwest Austin location and don’t need a big house, Olympic Heights is a great place to start your search.
