Henry is named for Artie Henry, one of the community leaders behind the founding of Cedar Park. In 2024-25, about 27% of students were identified as gifted and talented, about 15% received special education services, about 16.8% were economically disadvantaged, and about 13.4% were emergent bilingual students. Keep in mind that the GreatSchools rating above and the TEA accountability rating below measure different things, so the two can tell somewhat different stories.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
Henry Middle received an A (91) in the Texas Education Agency’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, with an A in all three domains, up from an A (90) in 2024-25 and a B (85) in 2023-24. Student Achievement, which is based on STAAR results, held at an A (91). School Progress, which measures how much students grew from one year to the next, rose from a B (83) to an A (90). Closing the Gaps, which tracks how each student group performs against state targets, climbed from a B (87) to an A (92). After three years of B ratings from 2021-22 through 2023-24, Henry has now earned two straight A ratings, and it was not identified for any federal support and improvement designation. For comparison, Leander ISD as a whole earned a B (87) in 2025-26.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): A (91)
- Student Achievement: A (91)
- School Progress: A (90)
- Closing the Gaps: A (92)
- Prior Overall Ratings: A (90) in 2024-25, B (85) in 2023-24, B (88) in 2022-23, B (86) in 2021-22, and A (94) in 2018-19 (no ratings were issued for 2019-20 or 2020-21)
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. The 2022-23 and 2023-24 ratings were delayed by litigation over TEA’s methodology and were not released until 2025.

Henry Middle Attendance Zone Map
Henry’s attendance zone covers eastern Cedar Park and the western part of Avery Ranch in Northwest Austin, with about 8,500 Leander ISD address points. Forest Oaks and Avery Ranch account for the most sales, followed by Silverado West, Quest Village, part of Buttercup Creek, Red Oaks, Silver Oak, Park Place, Cross Creek and Creekview. The zone also includes Breakaway Park, Abrantes, Bellamy, Reserve at Brushy Creek, Three Points, Avery Brookside and Avery Estates. The Cedar Park Middle zone lies to the west and shares part of Buttercup Creek. To confirm the school for a specific address, use Leander ISD’s School Zone Finder.
The middle school zone did not change for 2026-27, but some elementary assignments did. With the closure of Faubion Elementary approved in February 2026, former Faubion students in the Henry zone now attend Reed Elementary, so listings that still name Faubion are out of date. Leander ISD’s 2023 secondary rezoning moved some neighborhoods from Vista Ridge High to Cedar Park High, but none of them were in the Henry zone, which still feeds Vista Ridge in full.

Most of these sales are in Forest Oaks and the Avery Ranch Far West and Avery Ranch West sections, with smaller numbers in Silverado West, Quest Village, Buttercup Creek, Red Oaks and Silver Oak.
