When you see Texas depicted on TV, you see vast open spaces where you can see for miles. Though that is a lot of Texas, Austin is an exception. Located at the entrance to the hill country, Texas’ rolling hills, Austin’s west and northwest sides do have some change in elevation. These hills aren’t mountains, but they give enough change in topography to not be able to see for miles and miles. This area does tend to attract someone who is used to a more changing landscaping versus flat suburbs. Some never venture to this part of town, so they don’t know these hills exist. If you’re looking to live in Austin, but want to live in the hills, here is a list of the hilly neighborhoods in Austin.
