According to Nestpick, top cities must have a strong job market, low to moderate cost of living, progressive views and plenty of options for fun. The full list of factors were:

- Health Rank
- Apple Store Rank
- Nightscene Score
- Tourism Score
- Access to Contraception Score

- Festival Ranking
Austin Named the Best City for Millennials in the U.S. in 2017
Austinites only need to look at the criteria to know that their city would top this list. Austin boasted an 8.40 in employment score, 9.7 start up score, 10 in internet speed, and an impressive 8.8 in festival score. The lowest scores it saw were in housing, transportation and food. Overall Austin bested San Francisco (84.00 score) by a 2.2 point margin, coming in at 86.20 overall.
