Earning several awards such as the 4th safest city in the US, 8th fastest growing city in the US and others, Round Rock is one of the go to suburbs for home buyers. Only minutes from Round Rock and Northwest Austin employers, a reasonable drive to Downtown Austin, highly rated school district and parks and recreational activities, Round Rock residents don’t have to travel far for work or entertainment. Home buyers pick Round Rock because of its affordability, newer construction and bang for their buck. Luxury home buyers can get into the luxury market for a lot less than they can in surrounding cities like Austin and Cedar Park. If you’re looking for a luxury home in Round Rock, we’ve put together a list of the most expensive neighborhoods in Round Rock. One of the few gated luxury communities on our list of most expensive neighborhoods in Round Rock, Arbor Place is ideal for someone looking for limited access. Built from 2008-2014 by David Weekley and Highland Homes, you’ll find open floor plans, two story living rooms, gourmet kitchens and a luxury finish out. Homes sit on large, 95’ lots, so even though homes are 3,000-5,200 sqft, you still have a yard. If you want minimal yard maintenance, check out one of villas that sit on more manageable sized lots. If you need a lot of square footage, and are looking for a more traditional, suburban look, Arbor Place is a great place to start your search.

Brushy Bend Park is one of the few, established neighborhoods on our list of most expensive neighborhoods in Round Rock. Backing to Brushy Creek, some of the homes have water access during heavy rains. Most of the homes were built in the 1970s and 1980s, so you won’t find anything cookie cutter. Some will be in original condition and others have been completely remodeled. Homes sit on large, ¾ – 6 acre, wooded lots making it ideal for someone looking for space and privacy. And, located right off Sam Bass Rd, residents enjoy easy access to 35, 1431 and 620. If you’re looking for established luxury, on large lots, Brushy Bend Park is a great place to start your search.

Forest Grove is the only neighborhood on our list of most expensive neighborhoods in Round Rock where you can find new construction. Built by David Weekley and KB Homes, Forest Grove homes are finished with a more modern finish out. You’ll find stone or granite counters, painted cabinets, white and grey paint, large center islands, wood floors and unique lighting fixtures. Lots are 110’ wide, which is about double the size of most new construction in Round Rock. With the added space, many of the homes have enough room for a 3 car garage. Built in the early 2000s by Meritage, Highland and Drees Homes, Lake Forest homes are old enough to have mature landscaping and young enough to have a more updated look. Luxury homes sit on fairly large, ⅓ – ¾ acre lots and are around 4,000sqft, so you’ll find formal dining rooms and office spaces. The neighborhood got its name because of the creek that flows through it, giving it a “lake forest” feel. Lake Forest does have a community pool, playground, hike and bike trail and a community center and is one of the few luxury neighborhoods that has amenities. And, with large lots, many of the homes in Lake Forest have their own swimming pools and outdoor living areas.

Mira Vista, the luxury, gated section of popular master planned community, Behrens Ranch. Homes are a minimum of 3,000sqft and sit on 1/2 + lots, ensuring each house has a yard even though homes are large. Built in the early 2000s, you’ll find a lot of the same styles as you’ll find in Lake Forest. Large windows, two story living rooms, open floor plans, gourmet kitchens are just a few of the features you can expect. Mira Vista is only a small section of Behrens Ranch, so you won’t find too much for sale. Residents do have access to the sport courts, park, playground, community pool and tennis courts in Behrens Ranch. If you’re looking for a more master planned feel, Mira Vista is a great place to start your search.

Oak Bluff is a large community of about 650 homes in Round Rock. Homes range from a starter home to a luxury home on a large lot. The neighborhood is built in sections, so luxury homes aren’t right next door to start homes. Built primarily in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, Oak Bluff homes resemble the time. Some are original and others are updated with finish outs you’d expect in a newer home. If you’re looking for mature landscaping, space and homes with character, Oak Bluff is a great place to start your search.

About double the size as Arbor Place, Walsh Ranch residents enjoy access to an on-site school, park, playground, hike and bike trail and community pool. Homes are sizeable, with the majority being between 3,000-4,000sqft. Lots are more manageable at ⅕ – ¼ acres, making Walsh Ranch ideal for someone who needs inside space and isn’t really too concerned about acreage. Many homes do have beautiful outdoor living spaces, which is another benefit to buying an existing home versus a brand new home. Residents have had some time to make improvements to their homes, especially outside. If you’re looking for fairly new construction in a highly rated school district, Walsh Ranch is a great place to start your search.

The newest luxury neighborhood in Round Rock, Wyoming Springs is also one of the smaller neighborhoods. With only 36 homes at build out, Wyoming Springs residents will enjoy a more intimate neighborhood. Construction started in 2021 and will finish in 2022 by Lennar Homes. Inside you’ll find a higher level of finish out and open floor plans. Outside you’ll see a more traditional brick and stone finish, and great curb appeal. If you’re looking for newer construction on the west side of Round Rock, you can’t do much better than Wyoming Springs.
