6% Decrease in Median Sold Price of Austin Luxury Homes
The median price of a luxury home in Austin in November 2023 was $1,628,259 compared to $1,721,934 in November 2022 showing a 6% decrease in year over year comparisons. Last month, in October 2023, the median home price of a luxury home in Austin was $1,669,550, showing a 2.5% decrease in month over month comparisons.
1.4% Increase in Number of Austin Luxury Home Sales
In November 2023, there were 140 luxury homes that sold in the Austin area compared to 142 in November 2022, showing a 1.4% increase in Austin luxury home sales. Last month, there were 172 luxury homes that sold, showing a 19% decrease in month over month comparisons.
30% Increase in Time to Sell an Austin Luxury Home
In November 2023, it took, on average, 67 days to sell a luxury home in Austin compared to 47 in November 2022, showing a 30% increase in year over year comparisons. Last month, in October 2023, it took an average of 70 days to sell a home, showing a 4.5% decrease in month over month comparisons.

The most expensive luxury home that sold in November 2023 sold for $12,850,000 and the least expensive luxury home sold for $1,000,000. Austin luxury homes ranged in size from 1,396 sqft – 9,604 sqft with an average size of 3,616 sqft. The average price per square foot for a luxury home that sold in Austin in November 2023 was $465.40 with the lowest being $215.63/sqft and the highest being $1,337.98/sqft. It took, on average, 67 days to sell a luxury home in Austin and sellers received, on average, 89.22% of their original list prices.
