Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
Cedar Park Middle received an A (90) in the Texas Education Agency’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, essentially steady after an A (91) in 2024-25. Student Achievement, which is based on STAAR results, held at an A (91). School Progress, which measures how much students grew from one year to the next, was a B (87), compared with a B (88) the year before. Closing the Gaps, which tracks how each student group performs against state targets, slipped from an A (92) to a B (88). Over the longer run, the school has moved between a high B and a low A, with overall scores from 88 to 94 in every rated year, and it was not identified for any federal support and improvement designation. For comparison, Leander ISD as a whole earned a B (87) in 2025-26.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): A (90)
- Student Achievement: A (91)
- School Progress: B (87)
- Closing the Gaps: B (88)

Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. The 2022-23 and 2023-24 ratings were delayed by litigation over TEA’s methodology and were not released until 2025.

Cedar Park Middle Attendance Zone Map
Cedar Park Middle’s attendance zone is large, with about 14,700 Leander ISD address points. Buttercup Creek accounts for the biggest share of its homes, followed by Anderson Mill West, Ranch at Cypress Creek, Twin Creeks Country Club, Cypress Canyon, Ranch at Deer Creek and Cypress Mill. The zone also includes Jonestown Hills, Shenandoah, Bella Vista, Lakeline Oaks, Cypress Bend, Reserve at Twin Creeks and older central Cedar Park neighborhoods such as Oakmont Forest, West Park Estates and Thousand Oaks. The Henry Middle zone lies to the east and shares part of Buttercup Creek. To confirm the school for a specific address, use Leander ISD’s School Zone Finder.
Two recent changes affect MLS listings in this zone. Leander ISD’s 2023 secondary rezoning moved about a fifth of the zone from Vista Ridge High School to Cedar Park High School starting in 2024-25, so older listings may still name Vista Ridge. And with the closure of Faubion Elementary approved in February 2026, former Faubion students in the Cedar Park Middle zone now attend Westside Elementary, so listings that still name Faubion are out of date. Buttercup Creek is also split between Cedar Park Middle and Henry Middle, so always check the current zone for a specific address.
