La Ventana is located just west of the Co Rd 170 and FM 150 interchange off Elder Hill Road. To get to La Ventana, take FM 1826 southwest and make a left on FM 150. Golf Near La Ventana
If you’re looking for a driving range or putting green, you won’t have to leave your neighborhood for those. La Ventana has a putting green and driving range located within the gates of the neighborhood. For a full 18 holes, head over to Grey Rock Golf Course off Highway 45 in Southwest Austin.
Things to Do Near La Ventana
With all the amenities in the community, you’ll find many residents stay in La Ventana. If you’re looking to head out of the neighborhood for the day, Downtown Austin is only about 40 minutes away, Wimberly only 20 minutes, Kyle only 30 minutes and Dripping Springs is about 15 minutes drive. If you’re looking to taste wine, no need to fly to Napa! Just head over to the Duchman Family Winery about 4 miles from La Ventana and taste some genuine Texas wine.
Places to Eat Near La Ventana
One of the most popular choices near La Ventana is Trattoria Lisina, an excellent Italian restaurant with Hill Country decor and great service. For barbecue, you have to head over to the world famous Salt Lick, located on FM 1826 in Driftwood. If you’re looking for more choices, head to Downtown Dripping Springs for virtually every cuisine you could crave. Our favorite is the Creek Road Cafe.
Shopping Near La Ventana
Grocery shopping can be done at the Dripping Springs H-E-B or the H-E-B at Escarpment Village. Both are about 15-20 minutes from La Ventana and both are brand new stores with a huge selection. For Costco and Walmart, head to Southwest Austin, which is about 20-25 minutes from La Ventana.
Where to Work Out – Gyms Near La Ventana
With the fitness center located in the clubhouse, most La Ventana residents work out there. Its much more convenient than driving the 15 minutes to Dripping Springs for the closest gym.
