Neighborhood Survey

Please take a minute to tell us a little bit about your neighborhood and what you loved about living there. Many buyers in the Austin area are relocating and are trying to make a decision to purchase without knowing too much about the area. Help buyers like them discover the things you loved about your neighborhood, the surrounding area and the town. There is no need for complete sentences and there are no wrong answers. We will clean up the language. All we need from you are bullet points so we don't miss anything.

This survey has several sections and some may not apply to you. In that case, just skip that section. For example, if you don't have kids or if your kids attended private schools, you can skip the school section.

Why Did You Choose Your Neighborhood?

For the next few of questions, think back to when you bought your home. Tell us the things that attracted you to the area and your home. Likely the buyer who ultimately buys your home will be attracted to the same things you were.

What attracted you to the neighborhood?
What attracted you to your home specifically?

Neighborhood Info

Tell us about the community amenities and local businesses and activities. If there is something that we should definitely include in our customized neighborhood amenity map, please tell us about it.

What did you like about the schools?
How did your children get to school? Walk? Parent driven? School Bus?
If they walked or took the bus, how far did they have to go?

Town/Area Info

For this next section, think about things to do in your town that you enjoyed. This section is just so we don't miss any favorite businesses or activities that are not in your neighborhood.

Anything not mentioned in the neighborhood section that we should highlight when speaking about your town?

Letter to New Buyer

90% of buyers are curious about the seller. They want to know why they are selling (basically they want to know you are selling for a reason other than you hate the neighborhood or the house is falling down), who you are and if they will enjoy living in your home as much as you did.

If you are willing, a letter to a prospective buyer is a great way to handle all their objections. It can be as short or as long as you'd like it to be. The main things it should cover are: why you are selling (job relocation, need bigger home, want to be closer to family, etc), what you enjoyed about your home and you hope they enjoy it as much as you did. This letter is so much more powerful coming from you, rather than a buyer getting any info second hand from their Realtor.

If you are not camera shy, a video of one or all of you with this info is even more powerful. If you opt for the video, you can either tape it yourself on your smartphone (doesn't need to be high quality), or we can arrange a time for our team to shoot it.

Whether you choose the letter or the video, let us know below. Also, if you wish to keep your first name(s) off any info online, let us know that too.

Would you prefer to do a written letter or video?
If you select a video, would you prefer to have us shoot the video or would you like to shoot it yourself and email it over to us?
If you would prefer a written letter, do you have a picture of your and your family you could email?
If you prefer a written letter, you can paste it here or email it to us.
Is it ok for us to use your first names for the letter or video? (We would never use your last name). If not, we can sign it anonymously as "Sellers of 123 Main St".
Do we have permission to post your letter or video online?

Anything We Missed?

If there anything we missed? Anything else you would want a potential buyer to know about your home or neighborhood?

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this questionnaire. It will be extremely helpful in helping a prospective buyer visualize themselves in your home and make a decision to buy your home versus another home. We will let you know when your home's customized website is ready so you can review it.
