Rosedale is popular among young families and professionals looking for a family friendly community with a convenient Central Austin location. What started out as a neighborhood filled with many 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottages has grown into more 3 bedroom, 2 bath homes thanks to the large lots and residents’ desire to expand. You’ll still find the traditional 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottages, but you’ll also find quirky gardens, traditional and bohemian homes as well. The pool is surrounded by trees, which provides much needed shade in the summer time, is patrolled by lifeguards and best of all – free! With only one lane for lap swim, this pool is more of a kid/family pool.

The park – and even the bathrooms – are clean and they offer a place for BBQ and picnicking. They also have tennis and basketball courts for public use.

On Sundays at 2pm, adults head over for the weekly pickup softball game. The one downside is there is not a dedicated parking lot, but there is plenty of parallel parking on the surrounding streets.
