With the success of Vista Point, another KB Home community in Southeast Austin, McKinney Crossing was the logical next step for KB to continue its development of the area. McKinney Crossing is similar in amenities to Vista Point, with a community park, kids playscape, basketball court and walking paths. Homes are newer, with the first homes closing in 2022 and homes still being built today (September 2023). Homes sit on manageable, 0.13-0.17 acre lots, so residents get some yard space but won’t have to be spending all weekend maintaining it. Home sizes range from 1,491-3,475 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2-4 bathrooms, giving options to someone in all stages of life. Inside you can expect a higher level of finish out than other KB Home communities, but will still see the dark cabinets and dark granite in some of the homes. The good news is if you like that style, you’ll be able to save some money from the more modern look that’s more popular now.
