Addison is a 200 acre Southeast Austin neighborhood developed by Brookfield Residential and located off Burleson Road not too far from the airport. At buildout, there will be 550 homes and the developer expects to build at least 250 during the first year because of demand for affordable housing near Downtown. The community broke ground in Summer 2014 and has homes priced from the upper $200k’s to the $300k’s. Homes range in size from 1,400-3,000 sq ft and will sit on 40′,50′ or 60′ lots. With the northern suburbs, a home buyer’s only option is to be at least 45 minutes from Downtown Austin if they want new construction.
