Cinnamon SoLa Neighborhood Guide

Cinnamon SoLa is a small neighborhood of duplexes built in the 1980s in South Austin’s South Lamar neighborhood. These units are located on one street, Cinnamon Path, and are attractive to investors or owner occupants. Built in the 1980s, some of these duplexes are in need of a face lift. However, you will see some updated units as investors and owner occupants, remodel to attract new tenants. The street is friendly and keep their units up well. Cinnamon SoLa Duplexes

There are two main floor plans for Cinnamon SoLa duplexes. One that more resembles a single family home with a carport and two units with an adjoining wall. The units have one bedroom and bathroom downstairs and either one or two bedrooms upstairs depending on the duplex. The other popular plan shares no adjoining walls with a carport in the middle that separates the units. These also have one bedroom and bath downstairs and either one or two bedrooms and a bath upstairs. Both are great layouts for either owner occupants or roommates.

Things to Do Near Cinnamon SoLa

Cinnamon SoLa is a highly desirable rental area. Young professionals are attracted to this area because of its proximity to Downtown Austin and South Austin hot spots, as well as the vibe of the neighborhood. There is quite a bit within walking distance and even more if you’re willing to drive a little.

When you’re looking for an afternoon activity head to Barton Springs Pool to swim or sit on the grass and people watch. Or, you can also head over to Zilker Park for a picnic or to take part in one of Austin’s famous music festivals.

Places to Eat Near Cinnamon SoLa

Some favorite local restaurants include Maria’s Taco Express on Lamar for tacos and Black Sheep Lodge for a burger or a drink after work – both within walking distance. If you want coffee, head over to Irie Bean on Lamar. Walgreens is just three blocks away for those last minute purchases and HEB is a quick five minute drive.
