Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
Pleasant Hill Elementary received a B (81) in the Texas Education Agency’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, the same overall score as in 2024-25. Student Achievement, which is based on STAAR results, held at a C (78). School Progress, which measures how much students grew from one year to the next, edged up from a B (81) to a B (82). Closing the Gaps, which tracks how each student group performs against state targets, slipped from a B (82) to a C (77). TEA builds the overall score mainly from the better of Student Achievement and School Progress, so Pleasant Hill’s B reflects its stronger student growth. TEA did not list a federal support and improvement designation for the campus in 2025-26. The two B ratings follow C ratings in 2022-23 and 2023-24; Pleasant Hill also earned a B (83) in 2021-22 and a C (73) in 2018-19. For comparison, Leander ISD as a whole earned a B (87) in 2025-26.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): B (81)
- Student Achievement: C (78)
- School Progress: B (82)
- Closing the Gaps: C (77)
- Prior Overall Ratings: B (81) in 2024-25, C (79) in 2023-24, C (77) in 2022-23, B (83) in 2021-22, and C (73) in 2018-19 (no ratings were issued for 2019-20 or 2020-21)
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. The 2022-23 and 2023-24 ratings were delayed by litigation over TEA’s methodology and were not released until 2025.
