Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
The Texas Education Agency rated Cypress Elementary a B (88) for the 2025-26 school year, in ratings released in August 2026. That follows an A (92) for 2024-25. Student Achievement, which reflects STAAR results, earned an A, while School Progress and Closing the Gaps both earned a B.

Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. The 2022-23 and 2023-24 ratings were held up by lawsuits over TEA’s rating changes and were not released until 2025. Cypress earned a TEA distinction for Comparative Academic Growth (top 25% of similar campuses) in 2024-25 and 2021-22, and it is not identified for state improvement support.
