Montebella is the ideal neighborhood for someone looking for a suburban feel in a Hill Country setting. Built by DR Horton from 2012-2015, homes range in size from 1,817-3,162 sqft with 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 bathrooms and 2-3 car garages. Lots are a bit larger than your average, suburban lot, with most of them between 1/4-1/3 of an acre. The neighborhood is small, with only a few streets, so you don’t often see homes come up for sale. Though the neighborhood has no amenities like a community pool, the HOA dues are low ($45/quarter as of March 2022) and go toward maintaining common areas and rules. The property tax rate is also low (1.7993% as of 2021), so you can spend more of your monthly budget on fun activities with the family. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a newer home, but don’t want to waste money on amenities you won’t use, Montebella is a great place to start your search.
