The Ridge at Lantana is one of Southwest Austin’s newer neighborhoods. Meritage Homes, Newmark Homes and Plantation Homes, the three builders responsible for building The Ridge at Lantana, broke ground in 2005. Most homes at The Ridge at Lantana are between 3,000 and 3,500 sq ft, though you can find some homes a bit bigger and a bit smaller. Lot sizes due tend to vary quite a bit based on where you are located in the neighborhood. Many sites have greenbelt behind them, giving you the sense of open space even though your lot may not be as big.
Many of the amenities you’d expect to find in homes of this price range and age, gourmet kitchens, 19 ft ceilings, game rooms, stainless steel appliances, island and open kitchens are found here – and done well.

Barton Creek and Zilker Park
If you live in The Ridge at Alta Vista, you aren’t closed off from the trendy hot spots your Downtown friends are bragging about. Downtown is only a few miles up the road and you can easily head up for an afternoon at the park, or for one of Austin’s music festivals Austin City Limits or South by Southwest. When there’s nothing going on at either of these parks, head up there to go on a run at Town Lake Trail or picnic in the park.

There are several restaurants located in the Hill Country Galleria: Tony C’s Coal Fired Pizza, Iron Cactus, Buenos Aires Cafe and Zingers.
