The Club was founded in 1974 by Jimmy Demeret, who along with Ben Crenshaw designed the 27 holes of the golf available here. Onion Creek got it’s claim to fame as the birthplace for the Senior Tour and has hosted the LPGA tournaments for years. Membership is now required for residents, but includes organized MGA and WGA events, a PGA Certified Professional Staff, a full service pro shop, golf practice facility and reciprocal golfing benefits at Sister clubs.
