Some context helps when reading these scores. About 71% of Wieland students are economically disadvantaged and about 48% are emergent bilingual learners, well above the district averages. Even so, Wieland was not identified for any federal targeted or comprehensive support, and Pflugerville ISD’s campus profile puts its student growth score at 85, above the district median of 79. Its staff climate survey ranks third among the district’s 22 elementary schools. Under TEA’s scale, an A rating reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized performance, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable.

Wieland has a small attendance zone. Pflugerville ISD counts only about 180 zoned students attending the school, and the zone covers the area north of Wells Branch Parkway and west of Dessau Road, around Tudor House Road. It takes in all of Gaston-Sheldon and Brookfield Estates (the neighborhoods with the tea-themed street names), the northeast section of Fort Dessau (Anhalt Drive, Frankel Loop, Luisium View, Handel Drive, Gropius Lane, Schlemmer Plaza, and Kandinsky Bend), and the Saint Croix Lane and Crete Lane section of Pflugerville Estates. Nearby neighborhoods go to other schools. Northtown Park to the west and the rest of Fort Dessau (Bauhaus Bend, Maier Drive, Elbe Street, Klee Street, Zuhause Drive, Harrisglenn Drive, and Fort Dessau Road) are zoned to Barron Elementary, and the rest of Pflugerville Estates is zoned to Pflugerville Elementary. Check the exact address rather than relying on the neighborhood name.
Pflugerville ISD is also redrawing elementary boundaries for the 2027-28 school year, and Wieland’s zone will grow. Wieland is not one of the four elementary schools closing (Dessau, Parmer Lane, Pflugerville, and Windermere). Instead, it is a receiving campus in every draft map. Under Map 5, about 141 Dessau students and 139 Pflugerville Elementary students would move to Wieland. Under Map 9, about 255 Dessau students and 54 Pflugerville Elementary students would. Either way, Wieland would grow to about 640 to 650 students, roughly 90% of its capacity. The district’s draft plans also call for Wieland to add a Spanish bilingual program alongside its Vietnamese program. The rezoning task force is due to bring its final recommendation to the Board by November 2026, with boundaries expected to be set before winter break. Before writing an offer on a specific address, confirm its assigned school directly with Pflugerville ISD.
