The school is named for Pauline Naumann, who taught in Central Texas schools for four decades, including 23 years in Leander ISD from 1948 to 1971, when she was at one point the district’s only 4th grade teacher. Naumann is one of Leander ISD’s smaller elementaries, which keeps classes small: its 12.6 to 1 student-teacher ratio is below both the district (13.6) and state (15.0) averages. In 2024-25, about 16% of students were identified as gifted and talented, about 20% received special education services, and about 14% were emergent bilingual students. Keep in mind that the GreatSchools rating above and the TEA accountability rating below measure different things, so the two can tell somewhat different stories.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
Naumann Elementary received a C (76) in the Texas Education Agency’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026. That is down from a B (80) in 2024-25 and continues a gradual slide from a B (89) in 2022-23. Student Achievement held roughly steady at a C (77), while School Progress, which measures year-over-year STAAR growth, slipped from a B (81) to a C (75). Closing the Gaps actually improved, from a C (55) to a C (74). TEA also identified the campus for Additional Targeted Support in 2025-26, a federal designation that means at least one student group underperformed and the school will follow an improvement plan for it. For comparison, Leander ISD as a whole earned a B (87).
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): C (76)
- Student Achievement: C (77)
- School Progress: C (75)
- Closing the Gaps: C (74)
- Prior Overall Ratings: B (80) in 2024-25, B (82) in 2023-24, B (89) in 2022-23, B (86) in 2021-22 with a Distinction in Science, and B (87) in 2018-19 (no ratings were issued for 2019-20 or 2020-21)
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. The 2022-23 and 2023-24 ratings were delayed by litigation over TEA’s methodology and were not released until 2025.

Programs at Naumann Elementary

Bilingual Pre-K for Naumann families moves to other campuses that year: Pre-K 3 bilingual to Knowles and Pre-K 4 bilingual to Reed.

- Before and After School: YMCA after-school care runs on site until 6:30 p.m., as it does at all Leander ISD elementaries.
- Advanced Math: Leander ISD’s Elementary Math Pathways lets qualifying 5th graders take a combined Math 5/6 course.

Naumann Elementary Attendance Zone Map
Naumann’s attendance zone covers about 2.2 square miles in south Cedar Park. It runs from RM 620 and Hatch Road at its southeast corner north to South Lakeline Boulevard, and west to Cypress Creek Road, El Salido Parkway and Dies Ranch Road. Old Mill Road and Brighton Bend Lane run through the middle of it. Neighboring zones are Cypress, Deer Creek, Reed and Westside. To confirm the school for a specific address, use Leander ISD’s School Zone Finder.
A few edges are worth knowing. Only the first section of The Ranch at Cypress Creek, along Bent Bow Drive and Simbrah Drive, is zoned to Naumann; the rest of that community is zoned to other schools, mainly Westside. Most of Anderson Mill West is zoned to Cypress Elementary, apart from the homes along Old Mill Road. Leander ISD did not change Naumann’s boundaries for 2026-27; the only rezoning that year was the Faubion Elementary consolidation. In December 2025, the district did place Naumann on its Threshold 1 list of campuses with fewer than 500 students, which brings adjusted staffing and steps to build enrollment. No consolidation involving Naumann has been proposed.
Homes Zoned to Naumann Elementary: Market Stats
The figures below cover single-family homes sold through Unlock MLS that are zoned to Naumann Elementary. | Trailing 12 Months (Sept 2025 – Aug 2026) | 59 | $495,000 | $220.83 | 98.2% | 24 days |
Data sourced from Unlock MLS. Statistics deemed reliable but not guaranteed. Single-family homes only, including the condo-regime homes in Caspita Hopper (Cedar Mill Place). Each sale was geocoded and checked against Leander ISD’s official attendance-zone boundaries. We left out 10 sales tagged Naumann in MLS that sit in the Cypress, Westside, Reed or Plain zones, and added 13 in-zone sales that MLS tagged to a different school. Sale-to-list ratio is the median of each sale’s close price divided by its final list price.
Median sale prices in the Naumann zone have held remarkably steady. The median went from $485,000 in 2022-23 to $495,000 over the trailing twelve months, up about 2.1%, after peaking at $501,400 in 2024-25. Price per square foot tells a softer story. It fell from $251.69 to $220.83, about 12.3% lower, because the homes selling recently have been larger on average, about 2,270 square feet versus 2,100 three years ago. On a like-for-like basis, values in the zone have come down even though the headline median hasn’t.
Sales volume has been steady, ranging from 59 to 69 homes a year, with 59 sold in the past twelve months. Homes are selling a little more slowly than in 2022-23. Median days on market went from 21 to 24, and sellers received a median of 98.2% of their final list price over the past year.
Current Inventory Snapshot
As of October 1, 2026
| Status | Count | Median List Price | Median Days on Market |
| Active | 14 | $437,475 | 42 days |
| Active Under Contract | 2 | $444,500 | 109 days |
| Pending | 0 | — | — |
Data sourced from Unlock MLS. Statistics deemed reliable but not guaranteed. Same zone check as above; one Leander listing tagged Naumann was left out. Median list price and days on market for the two homes under contract are based on a very small sample.
16 homes are currently active or under contract in the Naumann zone, and none are pending. With 14 active listings against about 5 sales a month over the past year, the zone has roughly 2.8 months of inventory. That is a fairly tight, seller-leaning market.
The median active list price of $437,475 sits below the trailing-twelve-month median sale price of $495,000. That’s because several of today’s listings are smaller 1979-80 homes in Shenandoah rather than a sign of falling prices. Active listings have been on the market a median of about 42 days.
