Built in the early 2000s by KB Homes, University Park is one of the closest neighborhoods to Southwestern University where you can find a more recently built home. Located just east of Southwestern Blvd, University Park residents have easy access to not only Southwestern, but downtown Georgetown, 130 and 35 as well. University Park home owners are required to be members of the University Park HOA, though that membership does not come with the community pool, park or other amenities you typically see in this type of neighborhood. But, dues are only $240/year, so your investment is minimal. There is a large, open area at the end of University Park that residents can use, so you do get the sense of being in more of a park like setting there. Homes range from 1,145 sqft to 3,623 sqft, though most of them are 2,600 sqft and smaller. Lots are also manageable, with the majority of them 0.10-0.15 acres, making it ideal for someone who doesn’t want a riding lawn mower or too much yard space to maintain.
