Saratoga Hills is a small, gated, Texas Hill Country pocket community with 37 acreage home sites built by Ryland and Ashton Woods. Lots range in size from 1.5 acres to just under 3 acres, so there is plenty of room to put a large one story. Saratoga Hills is one of the few neighborhoods that you’ll find new construction with estate sized lots priced in the $800k’s-$1.6MM’s this close to Austin. Buying in a planned community is much easier than buying your own lot and building from scratch. You’ll also be able to semi-customize some of the features of your house, which is not usual for production builders. If you’re looking for a greenbelt lot, there are still some of those available. Others have beautiful, Texas Hill Country views. Saratoga Hills is located on Smarty Jones Drive that’s just off of Trautwein Rd, north of 290. To get to Saratoga Hills from Austin, take 290 west. With acreage sites, Saratoga Hills will not have planned amenities like a community pool or park. But, with over 1 acre to yourself, you’ll definitely have room to build a pool or playscape. Saratoga Hills homes do features natural gas from Texas Gas Service (no propane tank necessary) and a low tax rate at just over 2%.
