The Texas Education Agency’s rating, below, is the state’s own official measurement and the one used for school accountability purposes.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
- Overall TEA Rating: A (91 out of 100)
- Student Achievement: A (93) (based on STAAR performance)
- School Progress: B (88) (student growth compared to schools serving similar populations)
- Closing the Gaps: B (87)
Rooster Springs Elementary earned an overall A (91 out of 100) from TEA for the 2025-26 school year, matching its A (91) in 2024-25. It scored A (94) in both 2021-22 and 2022-23 and B (89) in 2023-24. It is tied with Dripping Springs Middle for the highest 2026 score in the district, and it was one of only two DSISD campuses to earn a TEA distinction designation in 2026 (Science).
For context, under TEA’s scale, an A rating reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized performance, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable.
