Breakaway Park is one of Cedar Park’s luxury neighborhoods. It is unique in that construction has taken place over several decades, beginning in the 1970s, so styles very greatly from lot-to-lot. Most homes sit on large, tree covered, acreage lots and really are an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. There is even some scattered newer construction built in the 2010s. Interestingly, the variety of home styles is not at all distracting and adds to the area’s eclectic charm. There are no sidewalks, so you tend to get more of a rural feel, and the trees do give you some privacy from your neighbors despite the land being fairly flat. Another draw is the absence of an HOA, giving residents some flexibility with how they use their properties. Breakaway Park has a small lake and is also one of the only Austin area neighborhoods with a private airstrip and hanger. If you are a pilot looking for a country retreat, or if you want a large home on an acreage lot in Cedar Park, there could not be a more perfect setting.
