Cedar Park is located 21 miles north of Downtown Austin. Although Cedar Park is it’s own city, it is considered a North Austin Suburb. Cedar Park is close to several other fast growing Texas cities – 5 miles south of Leander and 12 miles west of Round Rock. Cedar Park have 2 great golf courses within and around its city limits. The Twin Creeks Country Club is located in the 760 acre Twin Creeks Community. This is the first golf course designed by Fred Couples. The course is private, 7,033 yards and a par 72 course. The course if full of rolling terrain with twin creeks weaving in and out of the field of play. The Crystal Falls Golf Course is located in the city of Leander, which is only 5 miles from Cedar Park and has quickly become one of Central Texas’ favorites. The 18 hole course is a short course compared to other Central Texas courses but provides a a challenge for every skill level.

No matter your interests, there is always something to do in Cedar Park. On hot summer days you can cool off at the water playscapes at Brushy Creek Park or take a swim at the pool at the Elizabeth Milburn Park. Both parks have lots of green space, hike and bike trails and other activities to enjoy. Cedar Park is located only 10 miles from Lake Travis where you can swim, boat, ski, wakeboard, fish and even scuba dive. You can also enjoy some family fun in the sun at the close by Volente Water Park. For the sports enthusiasts, watch the NBA minor league team the Austin Toros play or the minor league Texas Stars hockey team compete at the new Cedar Park Convention Center. The Convention Center is also the place to see concerts, festivals and even catch the rodeo. If you’re looking for something a little different, take an old time train ride through the Texas Hill Country on the Austin Steam Train.

Places to Eat Near Cedar Park

From fast food to fine dining, Cedar Park has it. If your looking for Mexican food, Jardin Corona and Los Reyes are local favorites. Need a place for a nice business lunch, Daichi Sushi and Grill has you covered. Out of town guests? Take them to one of the best restaurants in Central Texas, CR Surf and Turf.
