Cedar Park is located only 20 minutes north of Central Austin and in both Travis and Williamson Counties. Cedar Park is located 21 miles north of Downtown Austin. Although Cedar Park is it’s own city, it is considered a North Austin Suburb. Cedar Park have 2 great golf courses within and around its city limits. The Twin Creeks Country Club is located in the 760 acre Twin Creeks Community. This is the first golf course designed by Fred Couples. The course is private, 7,033 yards and a par 72 course. The course if full of rolling terrain with twin creeks weaving in and out of the field of play. The Crystal Falls Golf Course is located in the city of Leander, which is only 5 miles from Cedar Park and has quickly become one of Central Texas’ favorites. The 18 hole course is a short course compared to other Central Texas courses but provides a a challenge for every skill level.

Cedar Park has plenty of places to do your grocery shopping. There are 2 H-E-Bs within a few miles of each other. You also have a Super Target, Walmart and Randalls all within the city limits. Whichever Cedar Park neighborhood you choose, groceries are always a short drive away.

Things to Do Near Cedar Park

No matter your interests, there is always something to do in Cedar Park. On hot summer days you can cool off at the water playscapes at Brushy Creek Park or take a swim at the pool at the Elizabeth Milburn Park. Both parks have lots of green space, hike and bike trails and other activities to enjoy. Cedar Park is located only 10 miles from Lake Travis where you can swim, boat, ski, wakeboard, fish and even scuba dive. You can also enjoy some family fun in the sun at the close by Volente Water Park. For the sports enthusiasts, watch the NBA minor league team the Austin Toros play or the minor league Texas Stars hockey team compete at the new Cedar Park Convention Center. The Convention Center is also the place to see concerts, festivals and even catch the rodeo. If you’re looking for something a little different, take an old time train ride through the Texas Hill Country on the Austin Steam Train.

Places to Eat Near Cedar Park

From fast food to fine dining, Cedar Park has it. If your looking for Mexican food, Jardin Corona and Los Reyes are local favorites. Need a place for a nice business lunch, Daichi Sushi and Grill has you covered. Out of town guests? Take them to one of the best restaurants in Central Texas, CR Surf and Turf. Cedar Park also has one of the best pizza place outside of New York at Domenick’s Pizzeria.

Cedar Park has the normal chain coffee shops like Starbucks and Coffee Bean and Tea, but they also have plenty of their own local boutique shops. Scooters Coffee has just about everything you would want in a coffee shop. They have drip coffee, espresso drinks, popular dessert coffee drinks, as well as baked items from local bakeries and Torchy Tacos. Roaster’s Coffee Haven is local favorite for those looking for their morning coffee and the Cupprimo Cupcakery and Coffee Spot is perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Besides jogging or swimming at all of the local parks, Cedar Park has it fair shares of places to work out. There is Gold’s Gym and Lifetime Fitness all within a 2 mile radius of the heart of Cedar park. There is also the Cedar Park Recreation Center or the Williamson County YMCA if you rather get your workout playing organized sports. Another popular gym right outside Cedar Park is the Punch Kettlebell Gym where Kettlebells are the central focus of your workout.
