Sorento is a new, master planned community built by DR Horton Home and Pacesetter Homes. Previously, Emerald Homes, a division of DR Horton Homes, built in Sorento but they sold out. DR Horton Homes has been building in Central Texas for decades and will build homes from 1,690-3,304 with 3-4 beds, 2-3.5 baths and 2-3 car garages. DR Horton’s homes will start in the mid $300k’s. Emerald Homes was a higher end product with 2,741-3,837 sqft, 3-5 beds, 2.5-4.5 baths and 2-3 car garages. Pacesetter Homes builds homes from 1,155 sqft to 2,111 sqft, making them the most affordable option in Sorento. Whichever builder you choose, you’ll still get access to the extensive amenities which include community pool, clubhouse, community park and tot lot and fitness facility. Sorento Community Amenities
Emerald Homes is planning to add extensive amenities. A Recreation Center and Club House will be complete in June 2015 and will have a fitness center for residents to use. Residents will also enjoy a community pool, park, tot lot and miles of nature trails winding throughout the community. From what it sounds like, the amenities will be top of the line and will definitely be worth waiting for. In the meantime, residents can enjoy Lake Pflugerville’s trails and activities, which are within walking distance of the neighborhood.

The property tax rate in Pflugerville’s Sorento neighborhood is 2.3698% as of the 2023 tax year, down from 2.604% as of the 2022 tax year. The property tax rate was 2.9492% as of the 2021 tax year.
