Langford is getting a full modernization of its existing campus under Austin ISD’s 2022 bond, a $39.9 million project that broke ground in March 2025 and adds a new gym, cafeteria, library, administrative area and mental health spaces. During construction it operates as Langford Elementary School at Palm, with its own staff, separate from Palm Elementary. The bond page now anticipates the modernized campus opening in January 2027, later than the original plan. In 2025-26, Langford enrolled 319 students, with 97.8% economically disadvantaged, 67.4% emergent bilingual and 30.4% receiving special education services, according to TEA. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Langford Elementary earned an overall C with a score of 73, the same score as in 2024-25. That holds most of a large recovery: Langford was a B (80) in 2021-22, then fell to an F (45) in 2022-23 and an F (57) in 2023-24 before climbing to a C.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): C (73)
- Student Achievement: F, 52 out of 100 (based on STAAR performance)
- School Progress: C, 74 out of 100 (Academic Growth C/74, Relative Performance F/54)
- Closing the Gaps: C, 70 out of 100
- Prior Overall Ratings: B (80) in 2021-22, F (45) in 2022-23, F (57) in 2023-24, C (73) in 2024-25
- Austin ISD (2025-26): B (81) district-wide
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. Langford’s C comes from School Progress, which rose from 71 to a C (74) in 2025-26 on Academic Growth of 74, meaning students are improving year over year. Student Achievement, the share of students meeting STAAR standards, is still an F (52), unchanged from 2024-25, and Relative Performance, which compares results with schools serving similar shares of economically disadvantaged students, was an F (54). Closing the Gaps, which measures results for student groups, slipped from 78 to a C (70). Langford earned no distinction designations in these years. TEA identified it for comprehensive support and improvement in 2022-23 and listed it as a comprehensive support and improvement progress school in 2023-24, but it has not been identified for improvement support in 2024-25 or 2025-26.

Data sourced from Unlock MLS. Statistics deemed reliable but not guaranteed. Single-family homes only. Each Austin ISD listing was geocoded and matched to Austin ISD’s SY 2026-27 Langford Elementary attendance boundary, so the figures reflect today’s zone rather than the school typed into each listing.
The median sale price in the Langford zone fell from $355,000 in 2022-23 to $229,900 over the trailing twelve months, a decline of about 35.2%.
