Where is Volente?
Volente is located just 18 miles northwest of the City of Austin on the north shore of Lake Travis. Its located directly across the lake from Hudson Bend and can be accessed by taking 2222. When you get to 620, continue across the light where 2222 changes to Bullick Hollow Road. Follow that to FM 2769 and make a left. You’ll then be on the main road through Volente. To get to the waterfront areas, take a left from FM 2769 into the different neighborhoods. The map below is interactive, so use it to explore the area.
Convenient to Cedar Park and Austin
Whether your daily activities take you to Austin or Cedar Park, both are within a short drive. Cedar Park is only 10 miles away (about 20 minutes without traffic) and Austin is closer to 20 miles (about 35 minutes without traffic). If you’re the type of person who wants an escape after a long day in the city, Volente may be just what you’re looking for.
Volente Waterfront Home Buying Tip
In the last few years, Lake Travis has been known to approach historic low levels leaving a lot of waterfront properties with only a few feet or water or even dry. If you want to guard against losing your boat dock, find a property with waterfront on the main body of the lake, not one of the many coves. If you want to avoid this problem altogether, you should probably consider buying Lake Austin Waterfront as Lake Austin is a controlled level lake.
You also want to walk the lot to make sure the accessibility to water is acceptable. Some of the waterfront homes in Volente have steep slopes where you cannot access Lake Travis easily from your home.
