Thousand Oaks is an established neighborhood in southern Georgetown off Leander Road. Built in the mid 1980s, most of the homes are fairly small, below 2,000 sqft with a few at 2,200 sqft. Homes sit on smaller than average lots for that decade of construction (about 1/5 of an acre), but because all of the homes have a smaller footprint, you still feel like you have space between your neighbors. Residents are drawn to the mature landscaping, convenient location to 35 and downtown Georgetown and unique, non-cookie cutter feel. There is also no HOA, which gives residents more flexibility to do what they need to do with their homes.
