Pioneer Crossing Elementary is a Title I campus off the Parmer Ln and SH 130 corridor. Pre-K 4 moved onto the campus in 2024-25, when Manor ISD relocated Pre-K from Manor Elementary to its zoned elementary schools, and the district lists Pioneer Crossing as one of four New Tech Network pathway elementary schools, along with Blake Manor, Lagos and ShadowGlen. In 2025-26 Pioneer Crossing enrolled 523 students, according to TEA, and 74.4% were economically disadvantaged. In 2024-25, 40.4% of students were emergent bilingual, 12.8% received special education services and 10.6% were identified as gifted and talented, and the student body was 51.2% Hispanic, 23.4% African American, 10.8% White and 8.4% Asian. TEA counted 17.2 students per teacher in 2024-25, compared with 15.7 across Manor ISD and 15.0 statewide. Ryane Gaston is the principal. Manor ISD’s $400 million Bond 2026, on the November 3, 2026 ballot, would pay for HVAC, fire alarm, paving, lighting, security camera and access-control upgrades at Pioneer Crossing if voters approve it. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, Pioneer Crossing Elementary earned an overall F with a score of 59, down 1 point from a D (60) in 2024-25. The campus was a B (83) in 2021-22 and a C (79) in 2022-23, then dropped to an F (59) in 2023-24. Manor ISD as a whole earned a D (66) in 2025-26, up from a D (60).
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): F (59)
- Student Achievement: F, 56 out of 100 (based on STAAR performance)
- School Progress: F, 56 out of 100 (Academic Growth F/56, Relative Performance F/56)
- Closing the Gaps: D, 68 out of 100
- Prior Overall Ratings: B (83) in 2021-22, C (79) in 2022-23, F (59) in 2023-24, D (60) in 2024-25
- Manor ISD (2025-26): D (66) district-wide, up from D (60) in 2024-25
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. Student Achievement, the share of students meeting STAAR standards, was an F (56) in 2025-26, up 1 point from 55. School Progress fell from a D (60) to an F (56), with Academic Growth at 56 and Relative Performance, which compares results with schools serving similar shares of economically disadvantaged students, at 56. Closing the Gaps, which measures results for student groups, was the strongest area and rose from 61 to a D (68). The 2025-26 and 2023-24 overall scores were both capped at 59 under a TEA rule that limits the overall score when Student Achievement and other domain scores fall below 60.
Pioneer Crossing is a comprehensive support and improvement (CSI) campus, a federal label for schools that need the most intensive support. It was identified in 2025, and TEA lists it as a CSI Progress campus in 2025-26, meaning it remains in that improvement cycle. It was also identified for targeted support in 2021-22. In 2022-23 the campus earned a TEA distinction for Academic Achievement in Science, its only distinction in the past five years.

Pioneer Crossing Elementary Attendance Zone Map
Pioneer Crossing’s zone covers part of northeast Austin around Samsung Blvd., including the EastVillage, Pioneer Hill, Pioneer Crossing East and Pioneer Crossing West subdivisions. In the March 25, 2024 elementary rezoning, which took effect in 2024-25, Manor ISD only updated the Pioneer Crossing map to match how students were already assigned. As of October 2026, no further rezoning has been adopted for 2025-26, 2026-27 or 2027-28.
The campus has room to spare. Its capacity is 650 students, it was at 85% (552 students) on March 4, 2026, and the district’s demographer projects it will stay around 80% to 83% through 2035-36, so crowding is not expected to force a boundary change here. Manor ISD publishes its attendance zones only as PDF maps and has no online address lookup, so confirm any address with the district office at (512) 278-4000 before buying.
