Manor New Tech High opened August 27, 2007 with 9th and 10th graders and graduated its first four-year class in 2011. It was modeled on Sacramento New Tech High and became a flagship New Tech Network school that hosts study tours for visiting educators; President Obama visited in May 2013. The campus sits on the former site of Manor Middle and Manor High schools on US 290, next to the Manor ISD administration building, and a 2019 renovation added a two-story wing and a fabrication lab. In 2025-26, it enrolled 728 students, up from 640 the year before, with 63.5% economically disadvantaged according to TEA; state data compiled by the Texas Tribune show 38.5% English learners, 8.2% receiving special education services, 18.3% identified as gifted and talented, and 64.3% Hispanic students. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.

Who Can Attend Manor New Tech High

Families apply through SchoolMint from mid-December to late January, and if applications exceed seats, admission is decided by lottery. For 2026-27 the window ran December 15, 2025 to January 21, 2026. The Manor High School Early College Program requires its own separate application. Manor New Tech Middle students are not automatically admitted and must enter the same lottery.

Manor ISD publishes its zones only as PDF maps on its attendance zones page and has no online address lookup, so confirm that an address is in Manor ISD with the district at (512) 278-4000 before buying.
