Texas Named Best Business Climate in the US

Texas recently beat out North Carolina for the No. 1 spot for 2011’s Best Business Climate according to Site Selection Magazine. North Carolina held the spot for 10 years and recently dropped to No. 3 behind Georgia. Why is Austin a great place to live?

Selection Factors

texas named best business climateIn order to come up with the list, the magazine considered the following factors:

  • Survey of corporate real estate executives
  • Tax climate analysis
  • New business activity performance

Many cited Texas’ lack of red tape, financial assistance and government cooperation with its business as the main reasons that set Texas above its competition.

Starting a Business?

If your starting a business, or planning on moving your business from another state, Texas is the place to be entering 2012. With a skilled workforce, adequate housing and high quality of life, Texas is not only business friendly, but people friendly too.
