This page also covers the school’s official ratings and programs, its 2026-27 attendance zone, the neighborhoods zoned to it, and four years of closed-sales data for homes in the zone from Unlock MLS.

Tierra Rosa Is Over Capacity: What It Means for Buyers
Tierra Rosa Elementary opened in August 2024 and enrolled 839 students in its first year, close to the roughly 850 students the building was designed for. By the start of the 2025-26 school year it was over capacity, and all new students in the Tierra Rosa zone that year were assigned to Santa Rita Elementary, also in Santa Rita Ranch.
For 2026-27, the Liberty Hill ISD board kept Tierra Rosa’s boundary the same and added two portable buildings, raising capacity to 920 students. The district’s boundary announcement says that once the campus is full, new enrollees will again be transferred to Santa Rita Elementary, similar to 2025-26. Students who were transferred to Santa Rita in 2025-26 were given the option to stay at Santa Rita or attend Tierra Rosa.
What this means if you’re buying: a home inside the Tierra Rosa zone does not guarantee a newly enrolling child a seat at Tierra Rosa. Whether your child attends Tierra Rosa or Santa Rita depends on space at the time you enroll. The district hasn’t published how many seats remain, so call the campus or Liberty Hill ISD’s enrollment office before you commit if attending Tierra Rosa specifically matters to you. Santa Rita Elementary is also rated B by TEA and is being expanded to 1,000 seats by August 2027.
Santa Rita Elementary Great Schools Rating: 8/10
The district plans to re-evaluate the Tierra Rosa boundary in spring 2027, based on growth and the opening of Saddleback Elementary in August 2027. We’ll update this page when 2027-28 boundaries are set.

Tierra Rosa’s two-story design, by PBK Architects, is the model for Saddleback Elementary, which opens in 2027. Its new principal, Shirley Dean, joined Liberty Hill ISD from Leander ISD, where she was an assistant principal at Rouse High School. According to TEA’s 2024-25 campus data, about 11% of students are economically disadvantaged. About 39% of students are White, 30% Asian, and 19% Hispanic. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Tierra Rosa Elementary earned an overall B with a score of 86, up from 85 in 2024-25. Those are the only two ratings it has, since the campus opened in August 2024. The district as a whole earned a B (85).
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): B (86)
- Student Achievement: B, 86 out of 100 (based on STAAR performance)
- School Progress: B, 87 out of 100 (Academic Growth B/87, Relative Performance F/58)
- Closing the Gaps: B, 85 out of 100
- Prior Overall Ratings: B (85) in 2024-25, the school’s first year
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. Tierra Rosa earned a B in all three areas. Its School Progress score comes from Academic Growth, how much students improve year over year. The low Relative Performance score compares achievement with schools serving similar shares of economically disadvantaged students, and TEA uses the better of the two measures.

Homes Zoned to Tierra Rosa Elementary: Market Stats
Here is what actually happened in Tierra Rosa Elementary’s attendance zone over the past four years. The figures cover single-family homes in Liberty Hill ISD sold through Unlock MLS whose addresses fall inside the official 2026-27 Tierra Rosa Elementary attendance zone. We geocoded every Liberty Hill ISD sale and tested its address against the district’s own 2026-27 boundary map instead of relying on the school name typed into each listing. That matters here because LHISD redrew its attendance zones for 2026-27, so many older listings carry school names that no longer apply. Tierra Rosa didn’t open until 2024, so earlier sales here were listed under other school names. Most of these sales were in Santa Rita Ranch and Morningstar.
