Santa Rita Middle School opened in 2021 and grew quickly along with Santa Rita Ranch, more than doubling its enrollment since 2022 and adding a wing and portable classrooms as it passed 1,400 students. Starting in 2026-27, students west of Ronald Reagan Blvd. moved to the new Legacy Ranch Middle School, which should ease that crowding. The campus motto is Empowering Stallions to Rise as Champions. GreatSchools and the Texas Education Agency measure different things, which is worth knowing before comparing schools. GreatSchools weighs test performance against schools serving similar student populations. The Texas Education Agency’s rating, below, is the state’s own official measurement and the one used for school accountability purposes.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Santa Rita Middle School earned an overall B with a score of 86, up three points from 83 in 2024-25. Student Achievement was a B (89), the strongest middle school score in the district, and School Progress was a B (81). Closing the Gaps was a C (78). About 13% of students were economically disadvantaged. TEA did not identify the campus for school improvement.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): B (86)

- School Progress: B (81), with Academic Growth at B (81) and Relative Performance at F

For context, under TEA’s scale, an A rating reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized performance, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable.

Under the boundaries the Liberty Hill ISD board adopted on February 16, 2026, Santa Rita Middle School serves Liberty Hill ISD homes east of Ronald Reagan Blvd. That is the full Tierra Rosa Elementary and Rancho Sienna Elementary zones plus roughly half of the Bar W Elementary zone. Neighborhoods include the Tierra Rosa-zoned sections of Santa Rita Ranch (Phases 3, 5, 6, and 7A and the main Santa Rita Ranch plats east of Ronald Reagan), Morningstar, Rancho Sienna, the Lively tract, Oaks at San Gabriel, Omega Ranch, Sage Creek, Ridge at Cross Creek, and the Liberty Hill ISD part of Cimarron Hills.
Santa Rita Ranch is split. Its southern, western, and northwestern sections, including Santa Rita Ranch South and Saddleback, are zoned to Legacy Ranch Middle School, and part of the Santa Rita Ranch master plan lies outside Liberty Hill ISD in Georgetown ISD. The Bar W Elementary zone is split too: Bar W Ranch, west of Ronald Reagan, goes to Legacy Ranch Middle School, while Oaks at San Gabriel and Omega Ranch come here. Homes Zoned to Santa Rita Middle School: Market Stats
Here is what actually happened in Santa Rita Middle School’s attendance zone over the past three years, pulled directly from Unlock MLS for single-family homes in Liberty Hill ISD whose addresses fall inside Santa Rita Middle School’s official 2026-27 attendance zone. Rather than relying on the school name typed into each MLS listing, we geocoded every Liberty Hill ISD sale and tested its location against the district’s own 2026-27 boundary map. That matters here because Liberty Hill ISD redrew its attendance zones for 2026-27, so older listings carry the school names that applied before the new boundaries. Most of these sales are in the eastern sections of Santa Rita Ranch, Morningstar, Rancho Sienna, Lively Ranch, and Oaks at San Gabriel.
