The 2026 rezoning added Mesa Vista and the CR 201 area to the zone. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Liberty Hill Elementary earned an overall C with a score of 74, down from a B (86) in 2024-25. It was the only Liberty Hill ISD campus rated C this year. The drop did not come from test scores: Student Achievement, the share of students meeting STAAR standards, held at 78, the same as the year before. The decline was in School Progress, which measures year-over-year growth, and in Closing the Gaps, which looks at how each student group performs. The district noted that overall achievement stayed relatively consistent while growth declined.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): C (74)
- Student Achievement: C, 78 out of 100 (based on STAAR performance; unchanged from 2024-25)
- School Progress: D, 69 out of 100 (Academic Growth D/69, Relative Performance D/65), down from 87 in 2024-25
- Closing the Gaps: D, 66 out of 100, down from 84 in 2024-25
- Prior Overall Ratings: B (83) in 2021-22, B (86) in 2022-23, C (79) in 2023-24, B (86) in 2024-25
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. Liberty Hill Elementary’s overall rating has moved between B and C over the past five years rather than trending in one direction, and it earned a distinction for Academic Achievement in Mathematics in 2022-23. For 2025-26, TEA identified the campus for Additional Targeted Support, which means at least one student group is underperforming and the school must complete extra state-required planning. Community Impact reported that the groups flagged were special education, economically disadvantaged and emergent bilingual students in math. If you’re considering this zone, ask the campus what it is doing in response.

Programs at Liberty Hill Elementary
These are the programs Liberty Hill Elementary and Liberty Hill ISD list for this campus. The school’s website doesn’t name specific clubs, fine arts or STEM offerings, so ask the campus directly if those matter to you.
- Dual language immersion: Liberty Hill Elementary is the home of Liberty Hill ISD’s Spanish-English dual language program, which uses a 90/10 model, meaning instruction in the early grades is mostly in Spanish. The district moved to a one-way program starting in 2025-26, and the remaining two-way cohorts are being phased out. The district lists the program as Pre-K through 5th grade; with Pre-K now centralized at Louine Noble, ask the district where Pre-K dual language classes meet
- Gifted and Talented: Liberty Hill ISD provides GT services under the Texas State Plan for gifted students. Parents or teachers can refer a student, and each campus has a GT coordinator who handles the referral
- ESL: LHISD uses a content-based ESL model. Students stay in their regular classrooms with ESL-certified teachers, and an ESL interventionist on each campus provides pull-out support for students who are earlier in learning English
- Before- and after-school care: Liberty Hill Extended Care, linked from the campus website
- PTO: The Liberty Hill Elementary PTO supports campus events and fundraising
Because this is the district’s only dual language campus, ask Liberty Hill ISD how placement works if you live in another elementary zone. For current details on dual language, gifted and talented services, or special education, contact Liberty Hill Elementary at (512) 379-3260.

Homes Zoned to Liberty Hill Elementary: Market Stats
The figures below cover single-family homes in Liberty Hill ISD sold through Unlock MLS whose addresses fall inside Liberty Hill Elementary’s official 2026-27 attendance zone. Rather than relying on the school name typed into each listing, we geocoded every LHISD sale and tested it against the district’s own boundary map. That matters here because LHISD redrew its elementary boundaries for 2026-27, so older listings often carry the old school names. The zone’s largest neighborhoods include Durham Park, Thousand Oaks, Rio Ancho, Mesa Vista, Highland Oaks and Butler Farms.
3-Year Closed Sales Trend

| Trailing 12 Months (Sept 2025 – Aug 2026) | 114 | $438,000 | $225.80 | 97.3% | 62 days |
Data sourced from Unlock MLS. Statistics deemed reliable but not guaranteed. Single-family homes only. Each sale was geocoded and matched to Liberty Hill ISD’s official 2026-27 attendance-zone boundaries, so the figures reflect today’s zone rather than the school name typed into each listing; 49 Liberty Hill ISD listings that fell outside every district zone, and a small number that could not be located precisely, were left out.
The median sale price for homes in the Liberty Hill Elementary zone has risen, from $422,430 in 2022-23 to $438,000 over the trailing twelve months, a change of about 3.7%. Median price per square foot moved from $231.45 to $225.80 (-2.4%), so the per-foot picture is softer than three years ago.
Sales volume went from 148 homes in 2022-23 to 114 in the past twelve months. Median days on market rose from 36 to 62 days, and sellers received a median of 97.3% of their final list price over the past year.
Keep the mix of homes in mind when reading these numbers. This zone combines in-town subdivisions with acreage properties outside the city, and the share of each varies from year to year. In 2024-25 and over the past twelve months, more than half of the sales were on lots of about an acre or more, which pushes the median up compared with years when smaller-lot homes in subdivisions like Rio Ancho, Mesa Vista and Durham Park made up more of the sales.
