Legacy Ranch Middle School is in the Liberty Hill ISD and earned a Not Yet Rated rating from Great School’s as of September 2026. As a brand-new campus it does not have a state accountability rating yet. If you’re considering a home zoned to this school, this page covers what is known about the new school, its 2026-27 attendance zone, and three years of real closed-sales data for homes zoned here from Unlock MLS.

Legacy Ranch Middle School Opened in August 2026
Legacy Ranch Middle School welcomed its first students in August 2026. The district named the school in February 2024, and the building itself is not brand new: it opened in fall 2024 as the temporary home of Legacy Ranch High School, which used it for its 9th grade class in 2024-25 and for 9th and 10th grade in 2025-26. When Legacy Ranch High School moved to its permanent campus on Legacy Ranch Drive in August 2026, the building became Legacy Ranch Middle School.
Founding principal Peter Bongard leads the campus. The school’s mascot is the Wranglers, the same as Legacy Ranch High School, which all of its students will attend. Opening Legacy Ranch Middle School let Liberty Hill ISD split middle school attendance three ways, relieving Liberty Hill Middle School and Santa Rita Middle School, which both had more than 1,000 students in 2025-26.
Because 2026-27 is its first year, Legacy Ranch Middle School has no TEA accountability rating. Its first rating would come with TEA’s 2026-27 ratings, normally released in August 2027. The A (91) that TEA lists for 2025-26 under campus number 246908043 was earned by Legacy Ranch High School’s 9th and 10th graders while they were housed in this building, so it does not describe the middle school.

Because Legacy Ranch Middle School opened in August 2026, the state has not yet published enrollment or staffing figures for it. News coverage of the district’s August 2026 openings reported that the new campuses opened at roughly half of their total capacity. GreatSchools and the Texas Education Agency measure different things, which is worth knowing before comparing schools. GreatSchools weighs test performance against schools serving similar student populations. The Texas Education Agency’s rating, below, is the state’s own official measurement and the one used for school accountability purposes.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
Legacy Ranch Middle School does not have a TEA accountability rating yet. It opened in 2026-27, and TEA rates a campus only after it has a full year of results, so its first rating is expected with the 2026-27 ratings, which TEA normally releases in August.
You may see an A (91) for 2025-26 attached to campus number 246908043, which TEA’s mapping data now labels Legacy Ranch MS at 450 County Road 258. That rating belongs to Legacy Ranch High School, whose 9th and 10th graders used this building in 2025-26. TEA’s accountability reports still title that campus Legacy Ranch High School, and it is not yet confirmed whether the middle school will keep that campus number or receive a new one.
Until the first rating is out, the closest guide is how the same students did in their previous schools. Most Legacy Ranch Middle School students came from Santa Rita Middle School, rated B (86) for 2025-26, and Liberty Hill Middle School, rated B (80). For context, under TEA’s scale, an A rating reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized performance, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable.

Program details come from Liberty Hill ISD’s 2026-2027 Middle School Course Planning Guide (v1.1), which applies to all of the district’s middle schools. The guide notes that staffing, class loads, and funding determine which courses actually run on each campus, so confirm current offerings with the campus counselor. As a first-year campus, Legacy Ranch Middle School is still building out its clubs and organizations.

Legacy Ranch Middle School Attendance Zone Map
The map above shows where the Legacy Ranch Middle School campus sits. To confirm whether a specific home address is zoned to Legacy Ranch Middle School, use the Liberty Hill ISD 2026-27 School Locator or the district’s campus address lookup.
Under the boundaries the Liberty Hill ISD board adopted on February 16, 2026, Legacy Ranch Middle School serves Liberty Hill ISD homes east of US 183 and west of Ronald Reagan Blvd., with the district’s northeast corner also assigned here. That covers the full Santa Rita Elementary zone and the Louine Noble Elementary K–5 zone, about half of the Bar W Elementary zone, and a small piece of the Bill Burden Elementary zone east of US 183. Neighborhoods include Santa Rita Ranch South, Santa Rita Ranch West, Santa Rita Ranch Northwest, Saddleback at Santa Rita Ranch, Eldorado, Rancho Santa Fe, Tesoro, Ancient Oaks, Northfork off County Road 257, North San Gabriel River Ranch, San Gabriel Oaks, Bar W Ranch, Grand Oaks at Liberty Hill, and Wildleaf.
Several neighborhoods are split. The eastern, Tierra Rosa-zoned sections of Santa Rita Ranch go to Santa Rita Middle School, and part of the Santa Rita Ranch master plan is in Georgetown ISD. Only about 8% of Highland Meadows and under half of Beltorre and Villa Torre are in Liberty Hill ISD. Some older neighborhood listings still show Santa Rita Middle School or Liberty Hill High School for Northfork, which no longer applies after the 2026 rezoning. Liberty Hill ISD plans another boundary review in spring 2027, so check the exact address.
Homes Zoned to Legacy Ranch Middle School: Market Stats
Here is what actually happened in Legacy Ranch Middle School’s attendance zone over the past three years, pulled directly from Unlock MLS for single-family homes in Liberty Hill ISD whose addresses fall inside Legacy Ranch Middle School’s official 2026-27 attendance zone. Rather than relying on the school name typed into each MLS listing, we geocoded every Liberty Hill ISD sale and tested its location against the district’s own 2026-27 boundary map. That matters here because Liberty Hill ISD redrew its attendance zones for 2026-27, so older listings carry the school names that applied before the new boundaries. Most of these sales are in Santa Rita Ranch South and the western sections of Santa Rita Ranch, Bar W Ranch, Rancho Santa Fe, Tesoro, and Northfork.

Each sale was geocoded and matched to Liberty Hill ISD’s official 2026-27 attendance-zone boundaries, so the figures reflect today’s zone rather than the school name typed into each listing; 49 Liberty Hill ISD listings that fell outside every district zone, and a small number that could not be located precisely, were left out.
