The Texas Education Agency’s rating, below, is the state’s own official measurement and the one used for school accountability purposes.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
- Overall TEA Rating: C (77 out of 100)
- Student Achievement: C (74) (based on STAAR performance, graduation rates and college, career and military readiness)
- School Progress: C (72) (student growth compared to schools serving similar populations)
- Closing the Gaps: B (84)
Hutto High School earned an overall C (77 out of 100) in TEA’s ratings for the 2025-26 school year, up from a C (71) in 2024-25. It was rated C (78) in 2023-24 and B (86) in 2022-23. Student Achievement, which for high schools includes STAAR end-of-course results, graduation rates and college, career and military readiness, is a C (74). School Progress is a C (72), and Closing the Gaps is the strongest domain at B (84).
For context, under TEA’s scale, an A rating reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized performance, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable.
