The Texas Education Agency’s rating, below, is the state’s own official measurement and the one used for school accountability purposes.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
- Overall TEA Rating: C (74 out of 100)
- Student Achievement: C (75) (based on STAAR performance)
- School Progress: C (73) (student growth compared to schools serving similar populations)
- Closing the Gaps: C (73)
Farley Middle School earned an overall C (74 out of 100) in TEA’s ratings for the 2025-26 school year, a small step up from C ratings of 73 in both 2023-24 and 2024-25. All three domains are rated C: Student Achievement (75), School Progress (73) and Closing the Gaps (73). TEA has identified the campus for targeted support and improvement, a federal accountability designation based on the performance of specific student groups.
For context, under TEA’s scale, an A rating reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized performance, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable.

Farley Middle School Attendance Zone Map
Hutto ISD has eight elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school, so attendance zones matter here. The district redrew elementary zones for the 2025-26 school year when Lee Martinez Elementary opened, and it redrew middle school zones for 2024-25 when Gus Almquist Middle School opened. It is now drawing high school zones for Creekside High School, scheduled to open in fall 2027.
Farley draws from Ray Elementary, Nadine Johnson Elementary, the Riverwalk, Lakeside Estates and Southgate side of Howard Norman Elementary, and the Cross Creek and Creekside Estates area of Hutto Elementary. Farley’s zone shrank in 2024 when Gus Almquist Middle School opened.
To confirm the school for a specific address, use Hutto ISD’s SchoolSearch address lookup, or view the district’s elementary and middle school zone maps on its School Zones & Boundaries page. Hutto ISD’s boundary is not the same as the City of Hutto’s: some Hutto addresses are in other districts, and parts of Round Rock, including Siena and Salerno, are in Hutto ISD.
