Bond projects added an automotive technology center and veterinary clinic (2017 bond) and an 800-seat auditorium with a scene shop and classrooms, completed in January 2026 for $53.1 million (2023 bond). In 2025-26, Lehman enrolled 2,177 students, with 54.9% economically disadvantaged, 31.8% emergent bilingual, 16.3% receiving special education services and 5.2% identified as gifted and talented, according to TEA. James Cruz, McCormick Middle School’s principal since 2017, was named Lehman’s principal in November 2025. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
