Wolf Ranch Sections — Hilltop, South Fork, and West Bend
Wolf Ranch is not a single, uniform community. It is divided into three distinct sections, each with its own character, amenities, and atmosphere. Understanding the differences between them helps you figure out which part of Wolf Ranch best fits the lifestyle you are looking for.
Hilltop
The Hilltop section sits on the north side of Highway 29 and offers the elevated terrain and scenic Hill Country views that Wolf Ranch is known for. Streets wind through gently rolling land with mature trees, and homes here tend to sit on higher ground with longer sightlines. The Hilltop amenity center serves this section and includes a resort-style pool, fitness center, sport courts including pickleball, playgrounds, and event space with views of the surrounding landscape.
South Fork
South Fork sits on the south side of Highway 29, close to the South Fork of the San Gabriel River. This section has a more natural, rugged feel compared to Hilltop. The Den community center, designed by architect Michael Hsu, is located in South Fork and serves as the heart of the neighborhood with its negative-edge pool, covered outdoor gathering area, fire pit, and commercial kitchen. Wolf Ranch Elementary School is also located in the South Fork section, making the morning school run straightforward for residents in this area.
South Fork is also home to the Genesis Collection, a community of 100 state-of-the-art 3D-printed homes built by Lennar in collaboration with ICON, a leader in advanced construction technology. These homes were designed by the internationally recognized architecture firm BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and represent one of the most notable new home innovations in the country. Homes in the Genesis Collection range from approximately 1,574 to 2,112 square feet with three to four bedrooms, and all include rooftop solar panels and smart home technology.
West Bend
West Bend is the newest and final chapter of Wolf Ranch, covering 325 acres south of Highway 29 with 671 planned home sites. The West Bend Model Home Park opened in 2025, and homes are now available from several of the area’s top builders. West Bend will feature its own dedicated amenity space including a 5-acre park, a 1.5-acre multi-use sports field, a pond, and trail connections to the Georgetown Regional Trail system. Those trails are planned to eventually connect Downtown Georgetown to Lake Georgetown, giving West Bend residents direct access to one of the region’s most scenic trail networks.
Builders currently selling in West Bend include Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, and Tri Pointe Homes, with homes starting in the $400s.
Wolf Ranch Schools
Kids who live in Wolf Ranch are served by the Georgetown ISD and will likely attend the following schools:
- Wolf Ranch Elementary - 7/10
- Tippit Middle - 6/10
- East View High - 5/10
School ratings reflect Great Schools ratings as of September 2026. Ratings are subject to change at any time. Please verify ratings and boundaries with the school district.
Wolf Ranch Elementary opened in 2020 and is located in Wolf Ranch’s South Fork section, south of 29, making it very convenient for Wolf Ranch residents.
Wolf Ranch Property Tax Rate
The property tax rate in Georgetown’s Wolf Ranch neighborhood is 2.3949% as of the 2025 tax year, down from 2.4691% as of the 2024 year. It was 2.4482% as of the 2023 tax year, down from 2.6132% as of the 2022 tax year. The property tax rate was 2.7228% as of the 2021 tax year.
Wolf Ranch Builders
Wolf Ranch is one of the few master planned communities in the Austin area where multiple award-winning builders are actively selling new homes across several sections. Current builders in Wolf Ranch include:
- Coventry Homes (Hilltop, West Bend)
- David Weekley Homes (West Bend)
- Drees Custom Homes (West Bend)
- Highland Homes (South Fork, West Bend)
- Lennar Homes (South Fork — including the Genesis Collection 3D-printed homes)
- Perry Homes (South Fork)
- Pulte Homes (South Fork)
- Tri Pointe Homes (West Bend)
- Westin Homes (South Fork)
Because different builders are active in different sections, the home style, lot size, and price range can vary significantly depending on which part of Wolf Ranch you choose. Some sections offer more traditional designs while others, like the Genesis Collection, push the boundaries of modern construction technology.

Wolf Ranch Amenities
Wolf Ranch offers a depth of amenities that is uncommon even among master planned communities in the Austin metro area. The community has two primary amenity centers plus additional parks, trails, and outdoor spaces distributed throughout its three sections.
The Den
The Den is the flagship amenity center for Wolf Ranch, located in the South Fork section. Designed by Austin-based architect Michael Hsu, The Den includes a large commercial kitchen, an indoor gathering space, and an expansive covered outdoor area with a grill that overlooks the San Gabriel River. Outside, you will find a resort-style negative-edge pool with lounge chairs, a fire pit, shaded seating areas, and a children’s playground. The Den hosts events year-round and serves as the social hub for the community.
The Hilltop Amenity Center
The Hilltop section has its own dedicated amenity center with a resort-style pool, a fitness center, pickleball and multi-sport courts, and a playground. This center serves Hilltop residents and provides a convenient option for those who live north of Highway 29.
Walking and Biking Trails
Wolf Ranch has 3.5 miles of walking trails within its boundaries, connecting green spaces and natural areas throughout the community. The City of Georgetown also maintains separate trail miles along a different stretch of the San Gabriel River. West Bend’s future trail connections to the Georgetown Regional Trail will eventually link Wolf Ranch to Downtown Georgetown and Lake Georgetown.
Don Walden Dog Park
The Don Walden Dog Park is a 3-acre off-leash dog park that opened in early 2026. Named in honor of a longtime community supporter, the park gives four-legged residents a dedicated space to run and socialize.
Parks and Green Spaces
Throughout Wolf Ranch, you will find a variety of parks, pocket parks, and open spaces. West Bend is adding a 5-acre park and a 1.5-acre multi-use sports field when that section builds out. Barefoot Park in the Hilltop section offers scenic Hill Country views and is a popular gathering spot.
Wolf Ranch’s on-site Lifestyle Director coordinates events and programming throughout the year, from farmers markets and movie nights to community fitness challenges and seasonal celebrations.
