Central Austin Pocket Neighborhoods

With all the new developments moving Downtown and throughout Central Austin, its become quite a desirable place to live. The scenery is often beautiful, location is great and it has a unique look. The only downside is most of your residential options are 1940s and 1950s construction unless you want to pay over $1 million. But, recently we’ve seen some smaller pocket neighborhoods with 5-20 homes starting to be developed. Some of these pocket neighborhoods are older with new construction mixed in and some are a cluster of newer homes in the same area. Central Austin Pocket Neighborhoods: Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills is a small, pocket neighborhood in Central Austin’s Highland Park – West Balcones neighborhood. Known for its spectacular views of the Bright Leaf Preserve, Beverly Hills homes range from 1950s style ranch homes to contemporary masterpieces from some of Austin’s best architects. Central Austin Pocket Neighborhoods: Colorado Foothills

The Colorado Foothills is a small pocket neighborhood in Central Austin’s Highland Park – West Balcones neighborhood. After the tech boom, builders tore down the 1950s and 1960s style homes on the edge of Balcones Drive overlooking Camp Mabry and built multi-million dollar estates.
