The campus mission is Every Roadrunner. Every minute. Every day. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Red Rock Elementary earned an overall D with a score of 67, up from an F (58) in 2024-25 and an F (50) in 2023-24. TEA identified the campus for targeted support and improvement in 2025-26. It did not earn any distinctions.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): D (67)
- Student Achievement: F, 53 out of 100 (based on STAAR performance)
- School Progress: D, 65 out of 100 (Academic Growth D/65, Relative Performance F/54)
- Closing the Gaps: C, 73 out of 100
- Improvement Status: Identified for targeted support and improvement (TSI)
- Prior Overall Ratings: B (84) in 2021-22, D (69) in 2022-23, F (50) in 2023-24, and F (58) in 2024-25
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. TEA builds the overall score from the better of Student Achievement or School Progress, weighted at 70 percent, plus Closing the Gaps at 30 percent. School Progress itself uses the better of Academic Growth or Relative Performance, which compares results with campuses that have a similar share of economically disadvantaged students.
Red Rock’s overall score has risen 17 points in two years, from 50 in 2023-24 to 58 in 2024-25 and 67 in 2025-26. The biggest gains came in Closing the Gaps, which measures how individual student groups perform and rose from an F (43) to a C (73), and in Academic Growth, which rose from an F (53) to a D (65). Student Achievement, the share of students meeting grade level on STAAR, is still in the F range. In 2021-22 the campus earned a B (84) with an A (91) in Academic Growth and a distinction for Comparative Academic Growth. Bastrop ISD as a whole remained a C in 2025-26.
TEA identified Red Rock for comprehensive support and improvement (CSI) in 2023-24, the most intensive federal school-improvement identification, and listed it as a comprehensive support and improvement progress school in 2024-25. In 2025-26 it was identified instead for targeted support and improvement (TSI), a federal identification TEA gives a campus when one or more student groups consistently underperform on the state’s measures; the campus then writes and carries out an improvement plan.

Red Rock Elementary Attendance Zone Map
For 2026-27, Red Rock Elementary’s zone covers the rural southern part of Bastrop ISD around the Red Rock community and FM 20. Much of the zone is acreage and unsubdivided land, and the named subdivisions are small, including Arbor Hills, Alum Creek, Artesian Oaks, High Grove Ranch, High View Ranch and Cherylton Hills. Bastrop ISD does not offer an address lookup tool, so check the 2026-2027 elementary attendance zone map on the Bastrop ISD school boundaries and maps page and confirm a specific address with the district.
The whole zone feeds Cedar Creek Middle School and Cedar Creek High School, with no middle or high school splits. Rural properties near the zone’s edges can sit close to other elementary boundaries, so confirm any specific address on the map. The current boundaries were adopted by Bastrop ISD trustees in January 2025 and cover the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years.
Homes Zoned to Red Rock Elementary: Market Stats
The figures below cover single-family homes in Bastrop ISD sold through Unlock MLS whose addresses fall inside Red Rock Elementary’s official 2026-27 attendance zone. Rather than relying on the school name typed into each listing, we geocoded every Bastrop ISD sale and tested it against the district’s own zone maps, which matters because the 2025 rezoning that came with Adelton’s opening and the middle-school conversions left many listings across the district carrying old school names. Sales in the zone are spread across rural tracts and small subdivisions such as Arbor Hills, Alum Creek and Artesian Oaks.
3-Year Closed Sales Trend
| Period | Homes Sold | Median Sale Price | Median $/Sq Ft | Sale-to-List Ratio | Median Days on Market |
| Sept 2022 – Aug 2023 | 25 | $400,000 | $238.39 | 98.0% | 35 days |
| Sept 2023 – Aug 2024 | 22 | $399,750 | $212.73 | 98.0% | 50 days |
| Sept 2024 – Aug 2025 | 21 | $450,000 | $225.96 | 95.0% | 77 days |
| Trailing 12 Months (Sept 2025 – Aug 2026) | 22 | $557,000 | $239.69 | 94.5% | 112 days |
Data sourced from Unlock MLS. Statistics deemed reliable but not guaranteed. Single-family homes only. Each sale was geocoded and matched to Bastrop ISD’s official 2026-27 attendance-zone maps, so the figures reflect today’s zone rather than the school name typed into each listing; 4 Bastrop ISD listings that fell outside every zone, and 3 that could not be located, were left out.
The median sale price for homes in the Red Rock Elementary zone has risen, from $400,000 in 2022-23 to $557,000 over the trailing twelve months, a change of about 39.2%. Median price per square foot moved from $238.39 to $239.69 (+0.5%), so the per-foot picture is about the same than three years ago.
Sales volume went from 25 homes in 2022-23 to 22 in the past twelve months. Median days on market rose from 35 to 112 days, and sellers received a median of 94.5% of their final list price over the past year.
Keep the mix of homes in mind when reading these numbers. This is a rural zone where most sales are acreage properties, and the number of sales each year is small, so the median moves with the size of the tracts that happen to sell. Over the past twelve months the median lot was over five acres, compared with about two acres in 2022-23, which accounts for much of the rise in the median price.
