GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Lost Pines Elementary received an overall F with a score of 57, after an F (59) in 2024-25 and an F (53) in 2023-24. TEA identified the campus for comprehensive support and improvement in 2025-26. It did not earn any distinctions.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): F (57)
- Student Achievement: F, 55 out of 100 (based on STAAR performance)
- School Progress: F, 57 out of 100 (Academic Growth F/57, Relative Performance F/55)
- Closing the Gaps: F, 56 out of 100
- Improvement Status: Identified for comprehensive support and improvement (CSI)
- Prior Overall Ratings: C (70) in 2021-22, C (73) in 2022-23, F (53) in 2023-24, and F (59) in 2024-25
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. TEA builds the overall score from the better of Student Achievement or School Progress, weighted at 70 percent, plus Closing the Gaps at 30 percent. School Progress itself uses the better of Academic Growth or Relative Performance, which compares results with campuses that have a similar share of economically disadvantaged students.
Lost Pines earned a C in 2021-22 and 2022-23 before three consecutive F ratings. Its strongest recent result was Closing the Gaps, which measures how individual student groups perform, at a C (70) in 2024-25; Student Achievement has stayed in the low to mid 50s since 2023-24. Bastrop ISD as a whole remained a C in 2025-26. Comprehensive support and improvement (CSI) is the most intensive federal school-improvement identification, which TEA gives to campuses such as those among the lowest-performing 5 percent of Title I campuses; the campus then writes and carries out an improvement plan. Lost Pines was first identified for CSI in 2023-24, was listed as a comprehensive support and improvement progress school in 2024-25, and was identified again in 2025-26. The campus website has a Targeted Improvement Plan page. It was also identified for targeted support and improvement in 2021-22.

Homes Zoned to Lost Pines Elementary: Market Stats
The figures below cover single-family homes in Bastrop ISD sold through Unlock MLS whose addresses fall inside Lost Pines Elementary’s official 2026-27 attendance zone. Rather than relying on the school name typed into each listing, we geocoded every Bastrop ISD sale and tested it against the district’s own zone maps. That matters because the 2025 rezoning, which came with Adelton’s opening and the middle-school conversions, left many listings carrying old school names, and older listings have no Riverside Middle School zone to point to. The zone has relatively few sales each year, led by Lake Bastrop Acres, Circle D and the Lake Bastrop area.
