From Cedar Creek Intermediate to Creekside Middle School
Creekside Middle School is the former Cedar Creek Intermediate School, one of Bastrop ISD’s two 6th-grade centers. Under the 2021 bond, the district converted both intermediate campuses into comprehensive middle schools for grades 6 through 8, and trustees approved the new name, the Hawks mascot and blue and silver colors on April 15, 2025. The campus opened as Creekside Middle in fall 2025. If you previously visited our Cedar Creek Intermediate School page, this page replaces it.
2025-26 was the transition year before the first full 6-8 year, and 2026-27 is Creekside’s first full year as a 6-8 campus. The bond conversion covers a competition gym, weight room, locker rooms, concession area, an athletic field and track, music, drama and art spaces and science labs; in mid-2025 the district expected the renovations to be finished around the middle of the 2025-26 school year, and its bond page still listed some items as in progress.
Keep the TEA ratings in context. The 2024-25 rating (D, 65) was issued to Cedar Creek Intermediate as a 6th-grade campus that tested only reading and math. The 2025-26 rating (F, 59) was issued under the Creekside Middle name for the transition year, and TEA’s data for that year show reading and math tests only, with no 8th-grade science or social studies tests. Neither rating reflects a full 6-8 campus. The 2026-27 rating, expected in August 2027, will be the first.

Enrollment was 696 in 2025-26, and about 85 percent of students were economically disadvantaged. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Creekside Middle School earned an overall F with a score of 59, and TEA identified the campus for comprehensive support and improvement. That rating covers the 2025-26 transition year. In 2024-25, as Cedar Creek Intermediate, a 6th-grade campus, it earned a D (65).
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): F (59)
- Student Achievement: F, 57 out of 100 (based on STAAR reading and math)
- School Progress: D, 60 out of 100 (Academic Growth F/57, Relative Performance D/60)
- Closing the Gaps: F, 57 out of 100
- Improvement Status: Identified for comprehensive support and improvement (CSI)
- Prior Overall Ratings (as Cedar Creek Intermediate, grade 6): Not Rated in 2021-22 (score 69, under Senate Bill 1365), F (55) in 2022-23, F (57) in 2023-24, and D (65) in 2024-25
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. TEA builds the overall score from the better of Student Achievement or School Progress, weighted at 70 percent, plus Closing the Gaps at 30 percent. School Progress itself uses the better of Academic Growth or Relative Performance, which compares results with campuses that have a similar share of economically disadvantaged students.
School Progress, a D at 60, was the strongest part of the 2025-26 rating; it uses Relative Performance, which compares results with campuses serving a similar share of economically disadvantaged students. Comprehensive support and improvement (CSI) is the most intensive federal identification TEA uses, given to campuses whose overall performance is among the lowest in the state; the campus then writes and carries out an improvement plan with district oversight. As Cedar Creek Intermediate, the campus was identified for additional targeted support in 2022-23 and 2023-24 and for targeted support and improvement in 2024-25. Additional targeted support (ATS) is a federal identification TEA gives a campus when at least one student group performs at a level comparable to the state’s lowest-performing campuses; the campus then writes and carries out an improvement plan. Targeted support and improvement (TSI) is a federal identification TEA gives a campus when one or more student groups consistently underperform on the state’s measures; the campus then writes and carries out an improvement plan.

TEA’s ratings for 2022-23 and 2023-24 were released late, in 2025, after litigation over the rating system, and 2021-22 ratings labeled scores below 70 as Not Rated under Senate Bill 1365. Ratings through 2024-25 were issued as CEDAR CREEK INT for a 6th-grade campus; the 2025-26 rating was issued as CREEKSIDE MIDDLE for the transition year. TEA issues updated ratings annually, so verify the current rating directly with Bastrop ISD or TEA before making a decision based on it.

Creekside Middle School Attendance Zone Map
For 2026-27, Creekside Middle School’s zone covers most of the Bluebonnet and Cedar Creek Elementary zones, the western sections of The Colony, and the Twin Creeks and Monterrey Hills part of the Camino Real zone. Neighborhoods in the zone include Riverbend at Double Eagle, Double Eagle Ranch, Railhead, Elm Ridge, River Crossing, Bluebonnet Acres, West Oaks, SilverLeaf, The Homestead on Hobbs Creek, Heritage Oaks, Las Alamedas, Thousand Oaks and Forest Lakes. Bastrop ISD does not offer an address lookup tool, so check the 2026-2027 middle school attendance zone map on the Bastrop ISD school boundaries and maps page and confirm a specific address with the district.
Watch three splits. In The Colony, western sections, for example Coleto Trail, Rita Blanca Bend, Maddy Way, Palo Pinto Bend, Gaston Drive, Kellogg Lane, Pinyon Pine Drive and Holzinger Bend, plus Del Webb Lost Pines, are zoned to Creekside, while eastern sections go to Bastrop Middle School. ValVerde is in the Bluebonnet Elementary zone but goes to Bastrop Middle. And the southern part of the Cedar Creek Elementary zone, plus Los Milagros, El Dorado and Rio Vista Ranch in the Camino Real zone, go to Cedar Creek Middle School. The current boundaries were adopted by Bastrop ISD trustees in January 2025 and cover the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years. Bastrop ISD’s tenth elementary school is under construction in SilverLeaf for 2027-28, and the district has not said whether middle school zones will change with it.
Homes Zoned to Creekside Middle School: Market Stats
The figures below cover single-family homes in Bastrop ISD sold through Unlock MLS whose addresses fall inside Creekside Middle School’s official 2026-27 attendance zone. Rather than relying on the school name typed into each listing, we geocoded every Bastrop ISD sale and tested it against the district’s own zone maps. That matters here because the 2025 rezoning, which came with Adelton’s opening and the middle-school conversions, left many listings carrying old school names, for example homes now zoned to Adelton or Colony Oaks still tagged Mina or Bluebonnet, and older listings that predate Riverside and Creekside Middle Schools carry no middle school name for them at all. The Colony accounts for the largest share of sales in the zone, followed by Riverbend at Double Eagle, Double Eagle Ranch, Railhead and Elm Ridge.
3-Year Closed Sales Trend
| Period | Homes Sold | Median Sale Price | Median $/Sq Ft | Sale-to-List Ratio | Median Days on Market |
| Sept 2022 – Aug 2023 | 149 | $588,490 | $238.07 | 99.0% | 49 days |
| Sept 2023 – Aug 2024 | 160 | $540,500 | $224.37 | 98.0% | 72 days |
| Sept 2024 – Aug 2025 | 272 | $452,425 | $207.99 | 99.0% | 71 days |
| Trailing 12 Months (Sept 2025 – Aug 2026) | 344 | $409,945 | $184.35 | 98.0% | 79 days |
Data sourced from Unlock MLS. Statistics deemed reliable but not guaranteed. Single-family homes only. Each sale was geocoded and matched to Bastrop ISD’s official 2026-27 attendance-zone maps, so the figures reflect today’s zone rather than the school name typed into each listing; 4 Bastrop ISD listings that fell outside every zone, and 3 that could not be located, were left out.
The median sale price for homes in the Creekside Middle School zone has fallen, from $588,490 in 2022-23 to $409,945 over the trailing twelve months, a change of about 30.3%. Median price per square foot moved from $238.07 to $184.35 (-22.6%), so the per-foot picture is softer than three years ago.
Sales volume went from 149 homes in 2022-23 to 344 in the past twelve months. Median days on market rose from 49 to 79 days, and sellers received a median of 98.0% of their final list price over the past year.
Keep the mix of homes in mind when reading these numbers. In 2022-23, acreage homes in Double Eagle Ranch and Elm Ridge made up a large share of sales, with a median lot of close to an acre. Since then, newer smaller-lot homes in The Colony, Riverbend at Double Eagle and Railhead have made up most sales, with a median lot of about a quarter acre. Much of the drop in the median sale price reflects that shift rather than a like-for-like decline in values.
