The campus hosts one of Bastrop ISD’s three Child Development Centers, which provide childcare for district staff and teen parents, and it finished 2021 bond renovations in 2024, including a secure front entry, security cameras, HVAC upgrades, expanded drop-off and bus lanes with added parking, and shade canopies over the playground. In 2025-26 about 93 percent of students were Hispanic and about 76 percent were economically disadvantaged. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Cedar Creek Elementary earned an overall F with a score of 52, after an F (58) in 2024-25, an F (57) in 2023-24 and an F (48) in 2022-23. Its last passing rating was a C (74) in 2021-22. TEA lists the campus as a comprehensive support and improvement reidentified school for 2025-26.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): F (52)
- Student Achievement: F, 48 out of 100 (based on STAAR performance)
- School Progress: F, 55 out of 100 (Academic Growth F/55, Relative Performance F/48)
- Closing the Gaps: F, 46 out of 100
- Improvement Status: Comprehensive support and improvement (CSI), reidentified
- Prior Overall Ratings: C (74) in 2021-22, F (48) in 2022-23, F (57) in 2023-24, and F (58) in 2024-25
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. TEA builds the overall score from the better of Student Achievement or School Progress, weighted at 70 percent, plus Closing the Gaps at 30 percent. School Progress itself uses the better of Academic Growth or Relative Performance, which compares results with campuses that have a similar share of economically disadvantaged students.
Comprehensive support and improvement (CSI) is a federal identification TEA gives to the state’s lowest-performing campuses, such as the bottom 5 percent of Title I campuses; the campus then writes and carries out an improvement plan. Cedar Creek Elementary was identified for CSI in 2022-23 and 2024-25, listed as a CSI progress school in 2023-24, and reidentified in 2025-26. In 2021-22 it was identified for targeted support and improvement. Its Closing the Gaps score, a D in 2023-24 and 2024-25, was its strongest domain in those years. Bastrop ISD as a whole remained a C in 2025-26, and new campus leadership is in place for 2026-27.

Homes Zoned to Cedar Creek Elementary: Market Stats
The figures below cover single-family homes in Bastrop ISD sold through Unlock MLS whose addresses fall inside Cedar Creek Elementary’s official 2026-27 attendance zone. Rather than relying on the school name typed into each listing, we geocoded every Bastrop ISD sale and tested it against the district’s own zone maps. That matters because the 2025 rezoning and the middle-school conversions left many listings carrying old school names, and older listings have no Creekside Middle School zone to point to. Railhead accounts for the largest share of sales in the zone, followed by The Homestead on Hobbs Creek, Heritage Oaks, Las Alamedas and Thousand Oaks.
