Bond 2021 work here, now complete, included a secure front entry, a new academic wing that replaced portables, an expanded and renovated CTE area, a new dance facility and renovated choir hall, artificial turf at Erhard Field, a larger weight room and upgrades to the baseball and softball complex. Krystal Gabriel is the principal, and the campus motto is Every student, every day. For 2026-28 football, the Bears play in District 12-5A-DII with Austin Crockett, Austin LASA, Austin Navarro, Elgin and Pflugerville. About 46 percent of students were economically disadvantaged in 2025-26. GreatSchools and TEA measure different things. GreatSchools weighs test results against schools with similar student populations, while TEA’s rating, below, is the state’s official accountability measure.
Academic Performance: Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating
In TEA’s 2025-26 accountability ratings, released in August 2026, Bastrop High School earned an overall B with a score of 88, up from a B (86) in 2024-25 and a C (72) in 2023-24. The campus was not identified for any federal improvement status. Its graduation rate was 100 percent and its College, Career and Military Readiness score was 98 out of 100.
- Overall TEA Rating (2025-26): B (88)
- Student Achievement: B, 89 out of 100 (STAAR 74, College, Career and Military Readiness 98, graduation rate 100 percent)
- School Progress: B, 86 out of 100 (Academic Growth C/75, Relative Performance B/86)
- Closing the Gaps: B, 87 out of 100
- Improvement Status: Not identified for comprehensive, targeted or additional targeted support
- Recent Distinctions: Postsecondary Readiness (2024-25) and Top 25 percent Comparative Academic Growth (2023-24)
- Prior Overall Ratings: C (75) in 2021-22, C (73) in 2022-23, C (72) in 2023-24, and B (86) in 2024-25
Under TEA’s scale, an A reflects exemplary performance, B is recognized, C is acceptable, D needs improvement, and F is unacceptable. For high schools, Student Achievement combines STAAR end-of-course results with College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) and the graduation rate. TEA builds the overall score from the better of Student Achievement or School Progress, weighted at 70 percent, plus Closing the Gaps at 30 percent. School Progress itself uses the better of Academic Growth or Relative Performance, which compares results with campuses that have a similar share of economically disadvantaged students.
Bastrop High has improved its overall score by 16 points since 2023-24, driven largely by College, Career and Military Readiness, which rose from 59 in 2023-24 to 98 in 2024-25 and stayed there in 2025-26, and by Closing the Gaps, up from an F (57) to a B (87) over the same period. Bastrop ISD as a whole remained a C in 2025-26, and the district reported that eight of its campuses earned an A or B that year, a first for the district.

TEA’s ratings for 2022-23 and 2023-24 were released late, in 2025, after litigation over the rating system, and 2021-22 ratings labeled scores below 70 as Not Rated under Senate Bill 1365. TEA issues updated ratings annually, so verify the current rating directly with Bastrop ISD or TEA before making a decision based on it.

Bastrop High School Attendance Zone Map
For 2026-27, Bastrop High School’s zone is everything that feeds Bastrop Middle and Riverside Middle. That covers all of the Emile, Lost Pines and Mina Elementary zones, nearly all of the Adelton zone, the eastern sections of The Colony plus Hunters Crossing and Riverside Grove from the Colony Oaks zone, and ValVerde from the Bluebonnet zone. Main neighborhoods include Tahitian Village, Bastrop Grove, ValVerde, Pecan Park, River’s Bend at Pecan Park, Adelton, Circle D, the Lake Bastrop area, Pine Forest and the streets of central Bastrop. Bastrop ISD does not offer an address lookup tool, so check the 2026-2027 high school attendance zone map on the Bastrop ISD school boundaries and maps page and confirm a specific address with the district.
The key split is inside The Colony: eastern sections, including Riverside, Neches Trails and Bandera Pass, are zoned to Bastrop High, while western sections, including Del Webb Lost Pines, go to Cedar Creek High School through Creekside Middle. The rest of the Bluebonnet zone and Martins Meadow on the southern edge of the Adelton zone also go to Cedar Creek High. Any Bastrop ISD student can also apply to Colorado River Collegiate Academy, the district’s early college high school. The current boundaries were adopted by Bastrop ISD trustees in January 2025 and cover the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years.
Homes Zoned to Bastrop High School: Market Stats
The figures below cover single-family homes in Bastrop ISD sold through Unlock MLS whose addresses fall inside Bastrop High School’s official 2026-27 attendance zone. Rather than relying on the school name typed into each listing, we geocoded every Bastrop ISD sale and tested it against the district’s own zone maps. That matters here because the 2025 rezoning, which came with Adelton’s opening and the middle-school conversions, left many listings carrying old school names, for example homes now zoned to Adelton or Colony Oaks still tagged Mina or Bluebonnet, and older listings that predate Riverside and Creekside Middle Schools carry no middle school name for them at all. Tahitian Village and The Colony account for the most sales in the zone, followed by Bastrop Grove, ValVerde, River’s Bend at Pecan Park, Hunters Crossing, Riverside Grove and Pecan Park.
