Best Neighborhoods to Live – Steiner Ranch
Steiner Ranch is one of the most well known Austin neighborhoods, and for good reason. Steiner Ranch has endless amenities – community centers, pools, lake access, martial arts and a full time activities director to plan events for residents – just to name a few. It’s also served by some of Austin’s best schools, all of which have earned TEA’s highest rating, Exemplary.
Because of all the neighborhood activities and because its a close knit community, Steiner Ranch is an especially great neighborhood for someone relocating to Austin. Best Neighborhoods to Live – Tarrytown
Tarrytown is a beautiful Central Austin neighborhood. You’ll find tree lined streets, mature landscaping and architecturally stunning homes. Located in one of Austin’s most prestigious zip codes, 78703, Tarrytown residents also enjoy Lake Austin access, proximity to Downtown Austin and a strong sense of community. The other draw to Tarrytown is its uniqueness. Not a huge master planned community with 5 standard floor plans, Tarrytown homes are just as unique as its owners.

Best Neighborhoods to Live – Downtown Austin
Downtown Austin is attractive to people of all ages looking for a low maintenance, urban lifestyle. They want to be able to walk out their front door and be at their favorite restaurant or coffee shop in just a few minutes on foot. They don’t want to have to get in their car and drive 20 minutes every time they want to go out. And, they like spending time out exploring the city’s restaurants, night life and entertainment. Downtown Austin provides just that and more.

Best Neighborhoods to Live – Bouldin Creek
Bouldin Creek is a popular choice among residents looking for a walkable neighborhood with shops, restaurants, coffee shops, library and Downtown all within a few minutes on foot. Homes are on the older side, having been built in the 1920’s and 1930s, however, many of them have been updated to appeal to today’s buyer. The average home in Bouldin Creek is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with 1,600 sq ft of living space.
Bouldin Creek has come into its own over the past few years with the revitalization of South Congress. You’ll find many residents on South Congress sitting at an outdoor restaurant, eating at one of the many food trucks or just taking an evening stroll. With more and more shopping, restaurants and food trucks appearing on South Congress Ave, Bouldin Creek will only become a more desirable place to live.

Best Neighborhoods to Live – Circle C
Circle C is the biggest and closest master-planned community to Downtown Austin. First developed in the late 1980s, building continues today with two new sections set to break ground in 2011. Circle C has two community centers (one is almost complete) with two community pools, a cafe, fitness center, playground and picnic area to serve its growing population. With shopping, restaurants and coffee at Escarpment Village and a new restaurant, shopping, dining and entertainment center set to be complete at the end of 2011 at Parkside Village, Circle C residents won’t have to travel far to eat, see a movie or even go to the doctor. Combine all of these amenities with top rated schools and you have a recipe for one of the best neighborhoods in Austin.
Homes in Circle C were built from the late 1980’s to today, with brand new construction available. The tax rate is also pretty low compared to other neighborhoods with this many amenities, sitting between 2.3% – 2.4%.

Best Neighborhoods to Live – Falconhead
Part of Falconhead is located in Austin and part is located in the city of Bee Cave, TX. Falconhead is one of Austin’s newer neighborhoods, with building beginning just after the Falconhead Golf Course was constructed in 2003 and continuing today. Residents choose Falconhead for the top rated schools, proximity to golf and the lakes and the close-knit sense of community. Homes range in size from 3,000 – 4,500 sq ft. Just 25 minutes from Downtown Austin, Falconhead is not out of the question for the person who works downtown.

Rough Hollow is like Falconhead in that part of the neighborhood is located in Austin and the other part is located in Lakeway, TX. An 1,800 acre Lake Travis waterfront community, Rough Hollow has been chosen as the site for Austin’s Parade of Homes 2 of the last 3 years. Rough Hollow is currently divided into 8 smaller communities that contain everything from a $400,000 semi-custom homes to $3 million waterfront mansions.
When you live in Rough Hollow, everything is at your fingertips. Whether you enjoy hiking, working out, boating or just relaxing with friends at the club’s pool, you’ll find it all within the neighborhood.
